I own the following currently HP (ZBook 15 G5), Dell (Precision 5530), Lenovo (X1 Extreme Gen 1), Razer (Blade 15 Advanced 2019 RTX), Microsoft (Surface Book 2 15").
The HP ZBook is the best in terms of build quality hands down. I generally agree with that list. There's some other brands that...
I recommend keeping an eye on the outlet as well. I picked up a P50 with a 6820k, 4k, 16gb, 256ssd, m2000m for ~$1300. Should be arriving in a couple of days.
Thanks for this. I plan on filling up the 2nd msata slot and the 2.5" in mine for more storage.
Shouldn't secret hashtags be counter-intuitive and less obvious than "#selfharmmm"?
I've never used hashtags so I guess I may not understand them or their userbase.
No. It's old and you never know when it will break down. Save your money and get something newer. Maybe 2-3 years when 1920x1080 was the standard consumer res it would have been worth it but now 2560 panels are a lot cheaper.
Yes I'm just joking. I do feel like the whole industry needs to progress a little faster... Sure we've come a long way in the past couple of decades but I feel like technological progress is being hindered by average consumers.
Why don't panel manufacturers just start making panels with enough pixel density that we don't have to care about resolution and focus on other things?
Skip 4k... start making panels that go up to 64k or something. It seems almost like they're trying to slow down technological progress so...
I went from 3x 2560x1600 monitors down to one 1x 2560x1600 because I didn't utilize all the screen real estate. I don't game but for work I find that a single high resolution panel is easier on my neck and eyes. I'll probably upgrade to a 4K monitor once they get cheaper.
IPS is unrelated to WQXGA.
WQXGA is the screen resolution, 2560x1600 pixels
IPS is the display type. You can read more about the various types here:
