Diablo 3, Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, Battlefield 3, Civ5: Gods n Kings, Dota2, those are the current games in my rotation, if you just want any game, Xcom UFO Defense or Tie Fighter are the two best games of all time in my mind
Wow, i'm very suprised at a lack of a huge thread regarding this as well. To me this is an iPad killer. A real x86 tablet /w keyboard and even mouse surface if needbe. Finally i'll be able to run real programs and not 'apps'. There are 2 flavors of the keyboard, one is a 'touchscreen' keyboard...
Your list is more for the budget consumer IMO, except haswell and above which we have no info on other than names really. I'd still go my route if you got the money
if you cant wait...get sb-e right now, if you can wait a little get ivybridge, if you can wait a little more get ivybridge extreme, and if you can wait even longer get haswell.....there i think that sums it up
If i were you i'd wait for haswell, i'm currently waiting for IB-E, but may jump on them SB-E and then add a IB-E cpu down the road....decisions decisions....
Looks nice, still waiting for IB....well IB-E on 2011 chipset...but man this is tempting. If they come out with some really stellar 2011 boards then i might bite and then just drop in a IB-E down the road
I've had an issue on my q6600 g0 stepping where core #3 will fail tests unless i up the voltage. The problem is /w my motherboard, and if i feed it enough juice its stable for eternity /w no failure. So i still think its your motherboard /w the new chip especially since its happend to you twice...
the smaller the die size the faster a cpu can execute instructions due to the fact of signals travelling, also lower power, which means less heat, which means more OC on top of that.
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-22nm-3-d-tri-gate-ivy-bridge,12700.html
"According to Intel's numbers, the 22nm 3-D Tri-Gate transistors provide up to 37 percent performance increase at low voltage versus Intel's 32nm planar 2-D transistors. Alternatively, the new transistors consume...
I think it will be much more than 5% increase over SB, i think tri-gate transistors will be well worth the wait.
Also +1 for overclocking and waiting, if you did upgrade now you wouldnt see very much gains and you'll be spending some cash needlessly
Yes i do, Wow is very large, and eventually your going to fill up your ram, and constant harddrive file swapping is indeed going to drag down your fps, also it will degrade your OS performance as well.
Also keep in mind how overclockable the 460/560's are, thats the sole reason why i havent needed a second 460 1gb yet and all i play at is 1920x1080 res
Its most likely the mobo, it really doesnt like OC's saddly.... running the ram in unlink is a must for high OC's on this board.
I think if i remember correctly i'm 9x multi 1512fsb /w 1.45vcore, all other voltages stock (it was a pain getting this took me a week of going up a few mhz at a...
I have a very similar system. First off in my OC'ing i've found that my mobo's have really big holes for the memory freq. this limits how i can o/c. if your memory is capable try running your memory at 800mhz, if i run my memory less or more, i get all kinds of stability errors and reboots. Also...
I work in a Real Estate company, one of the bigger ones... There is a mix of iPhone's and Android devices. I think it mostly comes down to what type of web applications does your mother use? For instance we use sureclose and an MLS website. Neither work on safari yet the sureclose website has an...
I have KRK rokit g2 8's and love them. I'd check into the krk5's or maudio bx5a. They are going to be very clear, very loud, and offer a nice range of sound in your budget
I'd wait till the 7000 series comes out and see how that performance pans out before upgrading as there's not a lot of options out there that will increase your performance all that much.
I think its the thermal sensor thats messed up, otherwise i'd have to ask....(forgive me) did you put thermal paste on, and make sure its clamped down tightly and properly on the cpu?
As you just said, you can be attacked thru ads, hell does anyone remember the ad that infected these vary message boards last year? (think it was last year).....If i didnt have AV on i'd have never of known, even with save browsing habits
