Well, it wasn't the power supply that died.
I tested it with a multimeter, and everything passed. The only wire below par was a 12V that was 11.8; well within tolerance.
Removed everything from the mobo except the CPU and it is still dead; no lights whatsoever on the board.
I'm calling...
Do power supplies die suddenly without warning?
I shutdown my PC normally and then tried to power on ~1/2 hour later.
No power at all, no lights on the Biostar mobo, no fans, no nothing.
The PS is a 2 year old Silencer 611 that I've had no trouble with prior to this.
I second this.
I also have Axiom 6.1 speakers w/ an SVS sub.
I went with the M50s as my main front speakers, to save a bit of money, bur mainly because my living room is small and anything bigger would have been overkill.
Have you tried Win7's optimize feature?
Go to folder properties > customize tab >
Optimize for: General Items
check apply to subfolders
Apply
