Fixed a couple of stuck pixels, on an old NEC monitor, years ago. The massaging technique just damaged the surface. But the flashing color thing worked, took it several days, though. They stayed fixed, up until the monitor refused to power on, one day, after yet another power outage. As I...
Never understood the love for this movie. It killed off all the guys I wanted to on the big screen, and replaced them with guys Nobody had ever heard of before.
And, Hotrod sucks!
That's what I was thinking; that they'd found a way to use hydrophobic surfaces to make water flow uphill. Might be breaking some laws of thermodynamics with that, though....
Given the (nonexistent) packing I've had on a lot of my Amazon orders, I'd say that any packing at all would be considered a violation.
How the caps didn't get ripped off that bagged power buck, rattling around with box inside the shipping box, I'll never know.
Buttons started going south in MX518 within a year of getting it. One of the side buttons started going out first. I keep that one set to middle click, and I tend to middle click everything. (how did I ever live without tabs?) Eventually, left click started to go, too.

I find the M16 family, and its derivitives to be scary for the guy behind the trigger. I've seen the numbers from reliability testing for those things, compared to other rifles. I know H&K makes a number of rifles based on the M16 mechanism, but they use a different, more reliable gas mechanism...
On a default Windows XP install, with nothing installed but patches, and Ad-Aware, I'll find at least one Alexa registry entry in for IE. Spy Bot will point out at least one more.
I seem to recall that WMP8 had some of that crap too, but I'm not sure.
I use Mozilla, and on exceptionaly rare occasion, I've still had spyware get through. Mostly tracking cookies.
Keep in mind, that some spyware gets installed by default with Windows.
