Switching to DivX player is giving me smooth 4k playback... is VLC not the standard these days?
Still curious about the scaling... Pretty obnoxious that Spotify takes up 50% of the 65" screen real estate.
I recently converted a nook in my studio into a double desk setup with all the goodies but I'm having some issues that are spoiling all the fun.
The setup:

This would be my everything machine (power user). I do game, but only TF2 so the vid card is little value to me. A machine needs some decent specs, 8GB of RAM seemed like a lot in 2005 but I think most people need more. Battery life is less of concern when compared to specs. I really like the...
I always fresh format when I get a machine... so that may not weigh in on my choice? or should it?

Nontouch is ideal but I dont care I just need ANY good option. I've looked at the Samsungs in the store and I'm exactly sold.
I'm back to looking at this option...
I'd like to upgrade from my Asus U31 13" but it seems like there are only bad options out there.
I was looking at the new XPS13 and the X1 Carbon...
XPS13 has no HDMI, only minidisplay which is nearly a full on dealbreaker for me
X1 Carbon has mixed reviews, soldered on RAM...

AV40's are weak. I'm not a hardcore audophile but I like a full range sound and was very disappointed in the AV40s I got & returned to Amazon and trust me I wanted to love them. I'd go for something like Klipsch 2.1 for drastically better performance. I bought these awhile back for the workshop...
downgraded from KRK rokit 5's to av40's and was underwhelmed to say the least. i returned the av40 for a cheaper pair... gave these a shot and got a much better sound at a better price. i now own several pairs (home pc audio, work) because of the affordability and quality. these are the same...
My Nexus 7 comes in today and I've been looking into bluetooth keyboards when it occured to me I like using my Nexus4 in landscape mode as a keyboard... Is there some way to use my Nexus4 as a bluetooth keyboard for my Nexus7?
ok guys!!!
obviously many of us have bought in and have a nexus on the way.... so for those of you that have HAD one -- what are the worthwhile accessories worth purchasing? Looking for a nice slim case, a rugged case, and possibly wireless charger.
I'm curious if there is such a thing as short and wide displays, or horizontal wide?
The reason I ask is because I want to have a side screen under my main display, but the height can only be around 10".
Do I have any options... Even something 10x10 would be fine. I really can't dredge up...
Hey HF
I've run Rokit 5's & a 10" sub with awesome results... At my new place I had to get rid of the sub and I don't the rokits are suitable for my casual use as they are too "true" -- I'd like some bass.
I'm looking into what powered monitors might have a fuller sound? I was thinking...
I was hoping to stream music wirelessly from my laptop as cheaply as possible and a friend turned me on to the Linksys WMB54G Music Bridge... I was wondering if the gurus of PC audio had any better/cheaper solutions or am I safe to order...
(PRE-BC) Four world dragons spawned randomly and top guilds would rush to kill them in hopes of finding poison resist gear to prepare for instance bosses in Naxxramas.
I understand its not necessarily but the difference between when I plug them into my laptop (with the 3.5mm adapter) compared the receiver is NIGHT and DAY... Hardly audible at high settings because of the missing highs and lows. I assumed the soundcard couldn't "drive" them --- so it seems I...
I lent my Samsung 226BW to a friend and when it was returned to me with the male end of the power adapter literally stuck inside the female on the monitor. Upon pulling it out the female receptacle looks damaged and the male will no longer fit in and thus I cannot power the monitor.
I have no...
A friend of mine is cancelling his ATT account with a $30 grandfathered data package... What is everyone thoughts as to what lengths should I be willing to go to make it my own? Does anyone have any experience doing something like this?
