Many of the newer LSI controllers do support trim etc. but yes the more common older chipsets do not and that really isn’t mentioned enough. A ssd will work for those but won’t perform too well and likely would die prematurely.
I don’t have the chipsets memorized but a quick search found...
That title really favors nvidia from what I’ve seen. There are plenty of benchmarks I’ve seen comparing the two but it will be interesting to hear your take on the two.
Honestly this is a 800 card to begin with. I’d jump on it at 700. Saw this on SD yesterday. But if you had your mind set on one this is the current good deal.
Of note this card is relatively smaller and should work in more itx cases

I have plenty of Apple products… but Apple has literally cut down features on each “new” generation of MacBook Pro. SSD bandwidth, RAM issues, battery issues, and the icing on the cake was offering a M3 MacBook Pro with a NON PRO cpu. Now that’s funny. Then they water down their selection by...
Cool story but how was the battery health? Even if they didn’t offer the same software metrics that they do now, what was your overall anecdotal experience with the battery ?
I have a M1 Pro 14 bought brand new. Goes to work with me everyday and is used off the charger for approx 4 hours daily...
length of warranty should also be considered. It’s confusion because sometimes even within the same line, they will have different warranty periods.
Usually the industry standard is 10+ years for the flagships. 7 years for enthusiast lines and 3-5 years for entry and mid grade units. That is...
One quick question- I am not at home to test at the moment.
When I tested motherboards in the past that I suspected I had a faulty switch, I would short the motherboard header pins to turn it on, and that was momentary.
Must be the motherboard power header is momentary, and then whatever it...
Something else I read suggested a solid state relay would easier on the port long term. Makes sense. I checked out the relay I’d just have to figure out the usb part.
Honestly I’m not afraid of a soldering iron. And if I knew it wouldn’t hurt the motherboard, I’d just cut off a male usb cable...
Yea I was wondering that. Windows needs to boot and execute the script before the relay will trigger on the one I linked?
Actually it might end up running promox on bare metal. So the triggering USB device would basically need to be script agnostic. Power on port triggers relay kind of thing.
Yea I should have just stated no current 😆 I appreciate the help.
without testing yet, I believe the PSU_ON being grounded just needs to be triggered once to turn on the psu, and does not need to remain connected for the atx psu to stay powered on? I could be wrong. Do you know if it powers...
I verified the usb port I want to use to trigger is completely off when the mini pc is powered off.
As far as that USB relay I linked above… I have no problem figuring out how to program it, but once programmed it should stay in the same state correct? Just program it once and plug it in?
I am...
as the title states. Looking to trigger/ activate a ATX psu from the usb port of another pc when it turns on.
Reason:
I have a Mini PC connected to an array of hard drives. A external ATX PSU powers the array. The mini pc of course runs on its own 19V power brick.
I’d like to turn the atx...
I appreciate your thoughts! And agree entirely on being able to overclock and tinker. I haven’t over locked a cpu in years now because most are so fast or maxed out from the factory.
I haven’t returned either card yet. I’m thinking of testing out the GRE and would post the 4070 super if I...
Yes generally you can choose the default display- either pcie or onboard. Most boards will cycle through all available displays unless you speed up the process by setting it to the default you want.
I have a i3 2120 cpu, Matx mini type board, 2x4 gb of ddr3L ram. I ran it underclocked as a dedicated NAS. I didn’t check actual power draw but I am certain it wasn’t much. It won’t be under 15 watts like a n100 would be, but it’s also not a power hog. If you are interested I can take some pics...
Someone else redeemed. Be nice if people who redeem the keys leave a post here so people know.
Good point about the bots and scrapers. Not a big deal, I know most of the time these are exchanged via pm. It probably wasn’t a member.
Have plenty of Heatware and references,
Looking for one last “upgrade” this time for my daughter’s rig. She has an Intel arc A380 6GB currently but has a chance to sell it for $100….
So what does [H] have that’s better for $100?
Target resolution : 1080p 60hz monitor

So it’s a year later, and after some more research I pulled the trigger on a p1s ams combo. Parts availability is much better, customer service has improved, and the company hasn’t exit scammed.
Anyways other than a spare hardened steel nozzle, (0.4 and 0.6) what else should I have on hand...
It may have and just isn’t in the supply chain yet. A product sold even at a lower price is better than no sale at all.
This may have been the plan all along.
