It's fairly easy to find several instances of people reviving SSDs using the baking method with a quick google search, if all else fails and you have nothing to lose.
I'm in Canada so it's a little more expensive for me after the exchange and shipping. I can get my hands on the ES for $30, just have to wait a few weeks and I'm wondering if it's worth the gamble. I'm having a hard time finding an instance of someone using one of these chips on a P6T or P6T SE
I upgraded from a Core i7 970 @ 4.6 to a 5930k @ 4.6, with a 680 SLI, there was no perceptable difference.
Grab a 6 core Xeon and overclock it, it's cheap and smart.
FPS is determined by your CPU/GPU, only load times/fluidity would be noticeably affected by the change. You may have been using a slight bit more CPU overhead with your old SATA controller but it shouldn't be enough to produce that kind of measurable difference.
I just picked up an Asus P6T and 24GB of ram for $100 so I figured I'd join the club.
Does anyone know if the P6T will take an E5645 Engineering Sample Q2WV chip?
I have a 1.5GB EVGA GTX 580 Black OPS edition for sale. (same clocks as the SC edition)
Card is in mint condition (even still has the original plastic on the graphic).
Card has been registered for a liifetime warranty.
Asking $300
I'm in Burlington, Ontario (Canada) and would prefer...
I think the real issue here is PNY using the same part number for both the reference and non-reference designs. How is this even remotely acceptable?
The EVGA example does not apply here as they clearly have a different part # and even a different name (570 HD) for the card.
As a...
Quickly glancing at that list, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Mirror's edge are also missing. Fail list is fail.
Odd, you'd think being on nVidia's site it would be complete.
Sweet looking card and it's nice to have two fans cause two is always better than one..... unless you're talking about the number of guys in a threesome.
+1 Who cares what you play? Just get in there and start gaming!
BTW forget your old games, play something new thats going to provide an impressive and immersive experience, you didn't spend that kinda $ on your system to play old ass dated games did you? (Mafia recommends a P3 700 for god...
I had this same issue, except my MSI GTX 580 wasn't stable even at stock clocks in JC2. I didn't notice the instability until I started overclocking, the game would run for an hour or so before freezing at stock, any anywhere from 5-20 mins before freezing when overclocked.
I finally got fed...
Were you asking if it would be worth it to upgrade in general or if there would be performance degradation relating to the x8 pci-e lanes per card?
What resolution are you gaming at? I'm assuming you're not going triple monitor, or you would have said so.
What is your i5 clocked at?
Why not just head to the BST and try to find someone local willing to trade their 260 for your 275?
Cost to you is the same with the same result, without the messing around. It would also be a small, free upgrade for a lucky individual.
my 2 cents
I had an MSI GTX 580 with a 1.00 vid that I had running 900 @ 1.040 but the memory wasn't stable at stock. I had to downclock the ram to 3800Mhz to get it stable, what an extreme dissapointment. Now I'm stuck with a GTS 250 while I wait for a replacement
First things first,
Use driver sweeper in safe mode to completely remove all existing driver files and then install the latest drivers again.
Let us know if the problem persists.
