Precisely. If you're going to change it use something better. Because those stock ones are loud as hell!
They do get a bit warm at least mine does but I've made it passive! :)
Thanks.
I don't really mind about the SATA ports to be honest. I've been considering a M1015 if I end up growing the array a lot more (but I can't see it happening soon).
My main focus really is PW consumption. I do need a "bigger" CPU but I can't 'afford' to see the difference on the...
After some reading I'm also condering a 3220T to be an option.
Or even a "normal" 3220 since most people and reviews claim the idle pw consumption is exactly the same.
Any advice?
Hi,
I currently have a E350 based NAS wich was fine (excellent for power usage) until a couple of days ago when I started messing around with VMs and now I find the need for more cpu power.
So I would like to possibly upgrade it to a Micro ATX (maybe FM2) mobo and corresponding CPU.
I...
I have it set for 25% until it reaches 45ºC and then it's a "straight" line up all the way to 100% at 80ºC. It does idle at 25% and it's quite silent at that. However it still is the loudest component. Maybe I'm just a silence freak which makes the ideal costumer for this case I think. :D
It's an MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III and I have AfterBunner starting with Windows so that I can apply a 'user defined' fan profile. But even then it is the loudest component on the system.
However I think changing to this case might be enough. Currently I have a CM 690II which isn't really a silent...
Great. There's an AMD Phenom X4 955 @ 3.2Ghz (no overclock) beneath it btw.
It's idle temp with a room temperature of 24ºC/25ºC is around 28ºC/29ºC and with a high load doesn't go beyond 39ºC/40ºC at most.
Let me point out I've changed the fans on the cooler to F12s. Which I should tweak...
@Reventon
Why the lights though since it doesn't have a window?
Isn't there any other spot where to 'properly' mount an SSD by the way?
I'm really thinking about buying this case but I'm still wondering if I should keep the NH-U12P or go for some watercooling.
Specially due to the graphics...
I just can't find something cheap and small that has a drive cage ...
And since I would like to do pretty much the same as you (Zacate based NAS) I was wondering how you had them arranged. Thank you.
Thanks. I'll give it a try.
Edit: Sounds like something easier then done.
Whenever I change any clock on the BIOS all I get in a nice BSOD on the next boot.
Time to give 11.5 a try.
Edit: Nope. Still the same issue.
Edit 2: Even that preset trick didn't do it. Even when setting it to "force" 1300Mhz it goes down to 1250 when using Flash somehow ...
I've read something about this issue but never with a 6950. Maybe I just didn't find it.
It's idling at 450Mhz GPU Clock and 1300Mhz Memory Clock. It's a MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III OC/Performance Edition.
It's not that the card is not performing well but it's just annoying to see the second...
Hi,
I just bought a MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III and I'm having the flickering issue on the second monitor (I'm using a Dell 2007wfp and a U2311h). However all the threads I see are about the 5 series cards and not the 6 series. Am I alone?
What do you think it might be?
Here's my system...
I'm also having the same issue with USB ports but even worst since it's happenning not only with the case usb's but also the onboard ones. Or maybe I should say I was having problem because 7 days agora I sent it to RMA.
Here's the setup:
Phenom II 955
GSkill 4Gb DDR3 1600
1 Samsung F3 500Gb...
What model please? How do you like them? Can you give us a quick review please?
And is that a Lian-li case (I think that's what chong67 wanted to ask)?
