Hahahaaa reading through the posts justifies some of the title
But the title on its own is awesome :)
Only a CEO or a VP would be OK with a 120% failure rate.... never a consumer :p
This is awesome, Thanks!
Skipped the whole BF3 experience, and talking to my cousin yesterday he was going on and on about how great BF4 was.
I told him I would pass, unless there was a really good BlackFriday deal tomorrow (today) $20 is pretty good :)
Half thinking mine is blown. $69 for a sub, box and amp is a great packaged deal...but compared to any other sub I have had, this one sucks :/ it isnt tight at all 538 reviews cant be wrong, or can they
strek, I'm with you & have an old set of X-530's; great for the $$
I'll prbly pass for 3 main reasons:
- believe sound to be same (if not 'Cost Reduced' over the years )
- prefer the volume knob on the RH speaker, instead of a separate box lying on the desk
- get more fun...
woah there benji! I don't know MrGlobe, but he appears to be a non-elite, not quite-audiophile, or to dare say "average" individual. AVS is excellent, and one with sufficient interest can learn a tremendous amount over a few days reading.
This Polk sub delivers more than most at this price...
With all this talk about subs & HT, surprised no one has brought up the Infinite Baffle systems :)
The polk sub here looks fine, tho I should pass. Current HT subs are already over-matched for the rest of the 7.1 setup, & dialed way down... & a couple more drivers sitting dormant that...
d'oh! & i thought it was a good deal 1-2mo ago during the "dented box" deal .. i think that was for $40 or 50 :/
Still have it sitting upstairs in the shipping box, been meaning to try it out :p
supposedly there's a few cool apps to program onto the display screen
lol Yes, the stampede is inevitable. Walmart's most likely by far the most violent & chaotic,.. not sure how Target's will be.
I'll wake up Fri, sometime whenever food stops digesting, dig out some Xmas lites, walk my doggie, do some hardcore relaxing. Drive by the stores later in the day...
hahahh I received mine last week from the recent "dented box" deal, $48 i believe ? Box was fine, keyboard looks ok but I haven't tried hooking it up yet., maybe get time tomorrow.
They have to get some new warehouse workers & start locking the doors on their shipping trucks .... so many...
you've got me optimistic ! Shows mine showed up yesterday, i'm away from home but should be able to grab it over the weekend.
If the box is not dented, I'll be sure to give it some damage (think: bowling ball, large rocks, uncarved pumpkings ;) ) to verify it lives up to the marketing name :D
that's correct -- but it only holds true if the rattle snake has been upset w/the lady rattlers & has a severe case of blue balls.
there is no venom with better heat transfer properties :p
this KB wouldn't be my personal cup of tea for normal use, ... but I could see it being outstanding for a Home Theater (w/HTPC) setup! very cool
& not that bad a price, considering harmony remotes go for $80-250
" Sorry, but the "I ♥ Bacteria" t-shirt giveaway promotion has ended. If you still have an interest in Culturelle, and more importantly, digestive and immune health, you can download a $2.00 coupon to use towards your next (or perhaps your first!) box of Culturelle probiotic! "...
Sounds interesting, wish we had an Infrared thermal cam & CFD to see the hot/cold spots & turbulent flows :)
Archmage sounds right, with the 'recycle'-d air thought. Car / powertrain cooling systems require well placed seals & baffles near the lower front bumper. It prevents "Hot-Air...
Nice precautionary measures! as a side note for the data/OS corruption, try putting your Ram stick(s) in different slots. I've had 'HD Failures' caused by bad RAM / RAM slots, causing bad data to goto a good HD.
And potentially try switching SATA slots, if not the cable itself.
Good luck...
that's weird; have you tried a flash drive, or any USB device in the same USB slot that was attached to?
Otherwise, how about connect the HD directly to the MoBo (remove from enclosure) and see if it's accessible. Maybe the enclosure's controller (IDE/SATA?) got hosed.
Whichever...
Thanks for the info, good to know. I got some 5000 'C's, mainly to use for R/C cars & airsoft, which I usually charge just before using, so that's OK.
I will keep it in mind for the AA / AAA's, since those are for flashlights, walkietalkies, mp3, etc ..
btw, how can you determine "low...
*PS* i've been procrastinating / debating to get these ... seems like an OK deal
12 AA's, 2600 + 12 AAA's, 1000 mAh ($23, +7 ship). Now I just have to find a decent AAA charger ... :confused...
cool, you and overdrv sound like you know what you're talking about. I agree with all you both stated; i gotta say tho, just can't bring myself to buy anything under 2000 mAh, too short duration.
As for the 10/12000 mAh 'D' cells, I believe those are in fact NiMh (not alkaline), but maybe...
lol this is the most accurate way to describe this that i can imagine :p
Initially i thought 'man, what a deal for all these games ... i already have them, but maybe i'll gift them or have a 2nd use for them later on'
Then I look over in the closet, see how many boxes of games I have...
cool; out of curiosity, what state are you? i'm southeast MI, might call a couple other nearby stores tomorrow morning for local stock (in case on-line order doesn't 'materialize')
Gadgets need power, hard to pass up 60 AA batteries for $10  Saw these at Home Depot and grabbed x2, they're surprisingly compact packages, passed by them at first. 4"x3" plastic cube double-stacked & taped together (so it's not even possible to get a single 30 pack).
I usually buy...
heehee thnx for posting that link; i thought it was going to be something Really good :D honestly, not a bad price tho -- guess they feel if you're willing to have a pink one, you deserve the discount :p
*PS* Has the definition of 'ultra' changed without public awareness?
Maybe we've...
passed by a Staples earlier today (~1pm) & decided to stop in & check availability. Said they were out, but had about 20 when they opened & said they went quick.
Supposedly ppl were buying multiple (ex: 1 guy had 6 ), so hopefully online stock holds up :)
heheh busy day so took the online order-route, for me it said "spend $0.01 more to get Free Shipping" (apparently $30 or above = FS -- even tho the website's banner did say $50) so i added a $3 gel pen (cheapest thing i saw on-clearance :D). Nothing wrong w/shipping to-store, just preferred...
