not really they use about the same power but Palit managed to bring the power consumption of their Sonic Dual 4870 to 4850 levels!

You can bet your mother AMD will lower 4870 prices below 260gtx and the ATI card is still a 8xAA/16xAF monster compared to it's rival.

Yep, and if want really good airflow with the A17 you could use three front fans and get an external ODD.

If you place the psu with the fan down won't it suck the dust that accumulates at the bottom of the case?

I would get the E8400 and wait for a quad core Nehalem, it will have much better multithreaded performance compared to current quad cores.

The A17's fan module has less restrictive airflow than the A16 so I think it's better and it has the same style removable tray but with added holes and clips for routing cables behind the tray.

If you install a large heatsink (tr ultra 120, tuniq tower etc) while the removable tray is outside the case is it possible to mount the tray back into the case with the heatsink attached?
