Leave the second card in situ, airflow should remain the same...
You could use some compressed air to blast the dust out of your card... Download the latest drivers.
If your still seeing artifacts in game film it and do an RMA, if stocks of Titan Z are low, you might even get an upgrade.

Watching this with interest... still no details on refresh
I had a 3007WFP until I recently upgraded to a 3011... All I can say is the color gamut is soo much better!
For example a game I used to play SWTOR had a dark black loading screen which looked 'blotchy' is the best way to describe it on the 3007, was actually had a previously unseen dark...
you've had it 3 years... vacuum the vents/grills to help cooling
even if never comes good again, it sounds like a compont/board failure... worth getting it looked at...
goodluck...2.20am here!
working fine for a few mins... then distorted is good...
sounds like a component/connection failing/failure... it should be very fixable. The panel is the expensive bit... even if you have to buy a duff 305T with a broken panel and swap over the controller boards.
I don't know how...
could be a dry joint or duff component that's heat related... component heats up, the connections expand and fault happens.
try a fast reboot as soon as the fault appears... see if bios screen is corrupted, or switch off monitor for 30 mins with computer still running... does the fault go...
when you wiggle the dvi connection at the back of the monitor, your not looking for improvement, only changes to the picture that would indicate a bad connection/dry joint
tried wiggling the dvi connection a little?
maybe try dropping the rez to 1280x800 (if it's anything like my dell 30", it treats that as a native rez too) Dunno what it would prove if it fixed it... maybe give you ideas if the distortion band doubled in size...
Is there an on screen menu you can check for distortion? On screen language, brightness menu sort of thing?
If there is and it's fine it when viewing a distorted computer image, then it would rule out a fault with the panel, and might be card/connection that could be replaced fixed cheaply...
with the monitor on, unplug the dvi/vga connentor from the computer. the 3007 will then start cycling through a R/G/B test screen.
Are the bands still there? Might rule out a duff video card etc
Question, if I hooked up an external blu ray or hd-dvd player to a dell u3011 via hdmi, would it work and what sort of picture if any would I get?
I'm guessing letterbox? or will it scale any?
Same question with a hd sky box.
thanks

Given the option of OCing just the vid card, when playiung at 2560x1600 I'd do it in a heartbeat. As others have said most (not all) gaming at this resolution is GPU restricted, so you'll get more bang for your buck going down that route.
Add to that noise levels for Air cooled CPU's aren't...
1st time water cooler here... actually just bought the bits for my loop, not yet bought the guts of my next comp.
Why? Noise!
A air cooled processor is practically silent, my GTX 285 has convinced me that when I upgrade to a GTX 580 I NEED to goto water cooling. Water cooling the...
I actually RMA'd a 10 month old GTX280 after it started artifacting, I recieved back a brand new OCed 2GB GTX285 a week before it was released to the general public. MSI is a great company to deal with!
hmm can I recommend Ebay? Some really nice systems, dirt cheap and crying out for some more ram or new video card...
Anyways might be better then trying to buy a cheap new system
You seem to have 2 totally different systems... memory, video cards, HD's, motherboard...
Your CPU score is even lower in your Screen shot...
Still something is buggy... have you compared scores with published scores for an i7 and Q6600 ?
In the end I thought I'd ask ASUS given the reply from Zero82z
<snip from ASUS>
Theorectically, they could work at x16, x16, x4 mode.

Thanks both of you for replying... I'm not used to tech support answering so quickly.
point to ASUS and SolidBladez (if anyone's keeping...
Thanks for the reply, it's put my mind at ease...
I hope to put a RevoDrive in the PCIe x4 Slot (RevoDrive works fine with a 1.1) I was just a bit concerned by utilising the x4 slot it might limit my ability to goto sli in the future, but that looks ok...

Expasion slots: 2x PCIe 2.0 x16 Slots, 1x PCIe x4 Slot & 1x PCI Slot
My question - If I fill all three PCIe slots will each recieve the full number of lanes? ie 16,16,4 or will it drop to 16,8,4...
I couldn't find anything in the manual about it, so I'm guessing they...

One of the techs at work uses one to blast the dust from his PC's works a treat, just be sure to jam the fans, incase they generate a current in the MB
I've seen a blown PSU take out -
a motherboard, video card and memory with one pop... (dunno if it took out the CPU too... because I had to replace that when I replaced the motherboard!) only thing that survived where the drives, soundcard and the case!
This was a repair I did for a friend...
Thanks...
I would have asked the original poster, but that thread is nearly 2 years old and that was their only post...
I was hoping to mount two XSPC RX240 Dimensions: 125x58.5x286mm (WxDxH) plus fan on the inside of the door, I'm guessing I might be hitting the top of the video card, if...
Hi All,
I'm looking to mount 2 x 240 rads on the inside door of the HAF932 simular to the one shown half way down this thread http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=200522.
Does anyone know the maximum combined depth of fan and radiatior block I can squeeze inside?
thanks for reading

After your first bake it sounded like a heat/fan issue...
Why not force the fan to 100%, also maybe redo the thermal paste/material between the chips and heatsink.
I've a feeling the second bake did more damage then good though.
You could always underclock it too and see if it'll run...
resolution for two is 2560 x 768, not 3840 x 1080...
your actually slowing your framerate by outputing at 3840 x 1080 for the projecters just to scale it down to the native resolution.
looks great though...
Thanks for the replies guys... WBurchnall your kinda right, but I was also wanting to know much much of an effect the drop in 2D core speed limits the playback.
I've noticed some panning issues being a little jumpy every so often, I don't know if it's the films or if my card is being...
