well the increments in precision mean nothing really. the gpu is going to actually increase in 13mhz increments. in fact every other notch in precision does nothing at all.

thats odd because 1186 does not go with the typical 13mhz increments. 1189 makes more sense.

at 1163 with .025 voltage increase and 6600 mem it will hit 103% and even throttled down to 1150 one time during valley. I will never actually run it at that setting though and was just checking to see what card was capable of.

+146 should be way above 1100 as these cards boost to 1019 out of thee box. I can do +116 for 1124 on mine for an every day oc but it will go higher if I wanted to oc it more. it seems 1163 with plus .025 voltage is the highest. and 1150 is highest with stock voltage.

name one issue you have had with origin. I see so many people complain about it and ea yet never say why. ea has excellent customer service through phone or chat and origin has worked perfect for years. only issue i ever had with it was when it first came out it would higher than normal cpu...

and the issue with patching goes back to middle of August. over 4.5 months to address patching problems with a ubisoft game on their very own digital distribution service is ridiculous.

maybe they finally fixed it in the last week and half. it was an issue for months though.

I dont watch blu ray and the streamed movies I see and nearly all "hd" content on cable/satellite is 720 or 1080i at best so no point in 4k tv any time soon. I am looking forward to 4k monitors though.

see that is how odd Ubisoft is because it does make difference. for example, Splinter Cell Blacklist on Steam is fully updated but directly from Uplay its not. it will only install the first patch and will continuously try to do so every time you start the game. they dont even have patch 2 and 3...

well the free versions of those are all you need. the free version of 3Dmark tortures you by making you run all the benchmarks just to get the firestrike score.

unless you are using a 15 year old Celeron chip and 64mb of ram there is no measurable penalty.

low cpu usage will not mean you are not cpu limited though. some games use very little of the cpu but need more speed or more cores or both to perform better.

yep 1920x1080 is 44% more pixels to drive. with a 6870 you will pretty much lose almost that much in most graphically demanding games since you will already be gpu limited at 1600x900.

yes it would hold even a 6870 back but it should not be bad enough to impact gameplay unless you are trying to stay above 60 fps. and doing that is not possible on 6870 anyway in most newer games unless running greatly settings. and at 1080, its a almost guaranteed that your 6870 is going to be...

they are gk104 just like the 660ti. a 760 is not really an upgrade at all and even a 770 is way faster in many games. 760 = 5-10% faster than 660ti 770 = 25-30% faster than 660ti and those are even closer when all cards are oced since the 660ti has much lower default clocks.
