    26" Displays -- 3 Options.

    By Dying I mean a few scattered pixels that are finally starting to get to me, and I really didn't treat the monitor well -- left it on without standby setup, etc. Really, its my own fault that its starting to go. Any opinions on the Acer? I haven't heard much about it.

    26" Displays -- 3 Options.

    Currently I've got an Viewsonic VX2025WM which is starting to die. I'm at about 25 dead pixels, and I've had this pannel for about 5 years now, so I don't really think it owes me too much. Monitors I'm looking to replace it with are either Acer X263WBI (TN pannel, HDMI, DVI inputs)...

    CoreTemp vs RealTemp :::: E8400

    I'm confused over which one of these two programs is actually reading the temperature correctly for my E8400. I'm on the stock intel cooler, and coretemp read 45C idle and 65C load, as the maximum. Occasionally one of the cores would be at a different temp, but not usually. Everest reads...

    How much can motherboards safely bow/bend around CPU socket?

    CPU is seated correctly, and the socket door is closed correctly. I have re-seated the CPU once to make sure that there was good contact with the paste, and the spread on the CPU was even in all directions, so the force doesn't appear to be applied abnormally (which you'd expect if the door...

    How much can motherboards safely bow/bend around CPU socket?

    It stays bowed after the install. I'll see if I can get a picture later on today, or find one that looks similar.

    How much can motherboards safely bow/bend around CPU socket?

    Well, after my motherboard grenaded and took out my video card as well (Asus A8n-Sli/7800GTX) I figured I might as well just upgrade. Got an E8400, BFG8800GT OC2, 4gb DDR2-800, and a Gigabyte P35-DS3L. I was on watercooling, however I decided to stick with stock cooling for a little while...

    The WC Thread: You got questions, we got answers!

    Question, as I'm looking to upgrade in the nearish future, and want to stay on water when I do. I'm currently running an opty 165 @ 2.8ghz & a 7800GTX in my loop, on a TDX and Maze 4 respectively. I'm using a BIP240, D5 pump, and a DD dual 3.5" bay res. Now, if I upgrade to a 8800GT, and a...
