Its very spastic. the skill ceiling is fairly low... I skipped MW3, so only reason Im getting this is to have a game to beat up on internet kids... Most annoying thing is the amount of "shit" in the game in terms of retarded mines and nades and perks and things falling from the sky as spam.

Anyone able to run this in 1080p? game wont give me an option to get my resolution higher than 1600by900. which my monitor doesnt even support. So im stuck running 1280by1024 or sromething dumb

Anyway this is in response to the engine being optimized for consoles to run @ 30fps? Just doesnt scale well otherwise? I cant imagine they spend all that much time making the PC version run effectively on the current cream-of-the-crop hardware.

It seems not bad, Im keeping it on that for now. is a TINY bit dark though in games. I actually had to turn up brightness in BF3 because i literally couldnt see anything on some of the CQ maps.

You probably dont need vsync with 120hz. I dont see tearing at all with 120hz

nope. never overkill, maxing bf3 on ultra with 7970 here @ 1080p still gets slowdown. so theres never too much power.

gtx 295 a bottleneck? yes of course it is... my 7970 is a bottleneck in battlefield3 still... lol.

update: Results 1150 Core 1600 RAM Stock Volts Type Card 1x Reference Sapphire Overclock Tool TRIXX Stability Test FurMark - ran for 15 minutes, max temp 92c, eventually leveled out to 90c and was fine. I dont think going much higher though will have sufficient cooling? thats pretty damn hot.

That I cant answer, I just know ALL of my 15 DVI Cables I had laying around were not DVI-D. I had to go buy an extra DVI-D cable from amazon because I bought my 120hz monitor used and It wasnt included.

I run everything "HIGH" with AA off, motion off, and AF at 8x, and it will still dip below 60 quite a bit on Karkland etc on my 7970 because there is so much shit going on 64 player servers. Im anal too, run 120hz and want like 80+ fps constant or I go crazy feeling like I cant aim properly.

Sapphire 1125 / 1600 Only played bf3 64 player for about an hour, no artifacts or crashing. Still need to run benchmarks and check the temps, but when I would quit bf3 I checked and immediately it was at like 76C so, we will see. oh and ambient sits 29c idle, and GPU is at 55c idle.

Make sure you use a DVI-D cable if you use DVI for video. Has to have full pins on the port otherwise it will only do 60hz.

Got mine today! Doesnt seem faster than my (2) 5850s though in crossfire. its about the same. running 1080p @120hz. No more microstutter, but it bottoms out worse in battlefield3 in large-environments. Got it at 1125 and 1575. runs cool. still pleased so far.

My sapphire 7970 I ordered @ ~10pm got cancelled this morning my newegg @ 430am :( said they didnt actually have the "stock" that I ordered from. fail where else can I pick one of these up?

Make sure you get the CAM profiles from the AMD/ATI driver page. its what got me stuck for a few hours when crossfire wasnt working correctly.
