While you may like to run other DC projects this is another reminder that these guys produce results you can see.
Things are happening with F@H and the [H] team is a significant player making a difference! ;)
What's New Version 3.5.0
Along with adding the new core recognition, I have also switched this EM build to use the VB6 runtime library instead of the VB5. Most people should have the runtime installed already, but I have posted the latest release with service pack 6 at the top of the download...
DBGromacs Core Supported
What's New Version 3.2.0
Added support for the new core, GBGromacs. This core is a variant on the main Gromacs core Core_78, differing in its incorporation of a fast, "implicit solvent" model (as used in Core_65). It complements Core_78 nicely, increasing the...
A friend and F@H contributor who was much involved in the project passed on a couple of days ago.
Rest in Peace Dick Howell (rph_iv).
You will be missed by all who knew you.

Fixed Point issue
New Points Per Day Field
Default skin update
What's New Version 3.1.9
The new points information for the total was not displaying the proper total when the decimal designator being used was a comma and not a period. I have fixed this and it should show the proper total...
Points Calculator Now Built In
Well, people have been asking for this feature for quite some time. I finally finished adding it to EM. EM not only calculates the Points per hour, Points per Day, and the Points per Week, but it gives you a Total Daily points production of all clients EM is...
Electron Microscope v3.1.5 (update)
QMD Core tracking fixed
QMD tracking seems to be working. It works for me, but testing by everyone else will be the final proof. Please let me know if you have a problem with the QMD core. If you do, please make sure you include information on which FAH...
So far in 2005 alone there have already been 4, yes FOUR papers published by the FAH team:
Journal of Molecular Biology (2005)
Dimerization of the p53 Oligomerization Domain: Identification of a Folding Nucleus by Molecular Dynamics Simulations
Biophysical Journal (2005)
Does Water Play a...
Well folks... the latest drive to gain back the relic trophy and become the #1 Team is coming closer to reality. Right now we can overtake and pass the OCAU team around June 15... if people keep their rigs going and don't slow down.
We are gaining newbies to FAH every day... let's keep...
While I fixed the tracking of Timeless Tinker work units in the previous version the fix broke the AMBER core tracking. I have now fixed the AMBER core problem without breaking the Timeless Tinker tracking. I am still looking into other reported issues, but this one needed fixing ASAP.
The...
What's New Version 3.0.7
I have fixed a few things about the display, mostly how the protein name is displayed. Some items were moved around so that the protein name did not overwrite the points. I think the new views are a lot better. All comments are of course welcome.
Some people...
Electron Microscope Language File
As many of you know EM currently has the ability to display its text in 7 different languages. English, French, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese, and Danish are the options so far. I have been waiting for some other promised translations, Spanish and...
Major Update To EM
AMBER Core Now Recognized
New Protein Data File Structure
New EM Calculator update
Even though there have been some major changes to EM internally, I always try and make upgrades as easy and simple as possible. This update is no exception. If you are already using EM...
I'm sure this thread will raise the hackels of some, but I just read this on the UD site:
(see it here: http://www.ud.com/industries/lifesciences.htm )
I for one am pulling all links and will no longer mention the UD project on the EM web site. I don't know about anyone else, but having...
Folding@Home makes the news yet again: Medical News Today - Could your home computer help cure Alzheimer's disease? Vijay Pande, PhD, assistant professor of chemistry and of structural biology at Stanford University, believes the answer may be yes. He's devised a way to identify potential drug...
Tracking issue fixed
Protein file updated
A long time ago we stopped getting proteins that took less than 60 seconds per frame so I made an adjustment to the code which tried to keep EM from sounding a false alarm if something seemed to be happening a little more quickly than it probably...
EM Support for Version 5 Client
This release supports Version 5 of Folding@Home. I waited until Stanford released the client so I could be sure that the client name was known. As I expected naming conventions changed. The previous versions of the clients were: FAH2Console.exe...
It's funny, the stats disappear and everyone talks about it... they come back, and not a peep! :p
Head on over to the site and don't forget that it does cost $$$ to keep you informed.
Consider pressing that little donate button. ;)

Our [H]ard Bard has been AWOL for nearly 2 months.
Oh Where, Oh Where has our [H]ard Bard Gone?
Oh Where, Oh Where can he be?
With his posts cut short and his presence out long
Oh where, oh where can he be?
Since it is taking longer than I expected for Stanford to finish the individual stats pages, I have updated EM so that your current score will be displayed. No other info will be returned until the stats pages are finished. Hopefully nothing will break in between now and the time the stats...
Stanford is switching over the new servers and the stats are included. Since they have restructured the stats and have not finished working on the user stats pages, The EM stats display will remain broken until the new stats pages are stable. Stay tuned. ;)
Fixed Protein Display Glitch
Fixed 13 Window Display
Stanford introduced a glitch in the protein xyz file that EM reads. It caused certain proteins to not be drawn. That issue is now fixed.
When adding a 13th client to track, EM would not properly resize the display window. That has been...
New Core Icon
Track MAC Work Units
New PopUp Menu Feature
New Suspend Feature
Small Bug Fix
Since we have a new core that is used to work with doubles, I thought it might be a good idea to make it easy to see the difference between core 78 and core 79. The little computer icon for Gromacs...
EM recognizes the new Gromacs Core
A new Gromacs core will be used on some projects, currently project 930, but more will follow. EM will recognize this new core.
The new core will not replace the current 78 core but, for certain calculations, greater precision is required than provided...
