Wage suppression by a few monopolies. Most likely.

Biometrics should be used to augment security - not replace it.
I think the point of the article is Apple said "This is impossible to crack" and then it gets cracked a week or so later.
I'm in my master's program in Information Security and Assurance and wanted to attempt something along these...
Kansas City is great! We have Google Fiber and i love my fat 1000Mb internet.
Plus, we have a Nascar track 10 minutes from my home. Kyle should come to the October race and I'll get him the best Bbq in the Nation
I have no issues with any ads here. They are related to computer enthusiasts products and they don't screw up my computer. While I don't pay Patreon, I do make it a habit to click through and see what the advertisers are trying to sell.;)
Maybe they will video their "interactions" with their inmates who can't wait to hang out with a lawyer in jail, copyright it and then post it on BitTorrent to start the whole process over again.
I have several Police buddies who work in different locals and different positions, one being a manager for dispatching -- they all "deny existence" of the word Stingray - which is comical.
I have the same issue. I have to use Private Internet Access to get Facebook and several other websites working fine - otherwise it loads really slow - and I have Gigapower.
Once I'm on VPN, it loads lightning fast.
Lowering the quality is a bad solution. People should complain to the FCC and bring up Net Neutrality. This is nothing more than a money grab because of a monopoly.
I love Kansas City. Not only did Google dramastically increase internet speeds, but they created competition. I have uVerse Gigapower with 1gig up and down, and U200 TV for 120 plus tax. No caps.
Ever since Steam became available, I haven't pirated anything since. I enjoy the ability to buy a game on a platform that I can easily download and take my library with me from device to device.
It's great news. Allowing Comcast to have such a huge footprint would screw Streaming services and also cause decoupling of packages / channels to take longer. Comcast owns NBC and NBC Sports, and has little incentive to offer TV packages without NBC Sports or to allow NBC Sports be accessed...
I remember this from CBS (Parent Company of ZDNET) two years ago --- http://www.hardocp.com/news/2013/02/01/ces_dumps_cnet_gives_best_show_award_to_dish/#.VLCcESvF9zo
I wouldn't be happy if I were a student there. Our university gets Google docs for free, which does most everything I need at school. Tuition and fees are ridiculous enough already.
Honestly I don't understand the price.
$25-$35 a year per personal account, or add a ms word, PowerPoint and excel package supported by ads each time you open a program. Will stem the piracy and monetize more revenue IMHO.
Instead of putting 1200 (or more) in the cable company's coffers, I put the money into my 401K and my son's college fund - or a better graphics card....
I don't pay for Cable either. I bought a 70 dollar antenna 4 years ago - and pay for netflix. I get all the local channels in HD and watch sports at my family's houses (ESPN).
If you get a survey and your land around your home is higher than the flood zone requirement, you can get a C-LOMA (Conditional -Letter of Map Amendment) and pay lower rates (400 per year), or none at all if you elect because you will be classified low risk. Engineer, Surveyor, or Architect...
Flood insurance is simple. For a claim to work, there has to be damage to atleast one other property, and it must damage covered areas of the property. Illegally enclosed areas of a home do not count (converting a garage below the Base flood elevation to a living area for example).
Other...
There are PSA's on TV, radio, and the net. flood.org. Flood insurance always pays during disasters, if you have the policy. Flood insurance is cheap compared to the risk btw.
Information Systems of Computing (ISC) - sorry about the acronym.
In the HIT field I would like to be a System Admin or Database Admin. I do great work as a systems analyst too (great with working with Non-IT and IT people), I helped my current job implement a new Code enforcement and...
I'm currently enrolled in the ISC program and scheduled to graduate next year. I really want to stand apart from my peers and am hoping that certifications will help round out my resume.
My emphasis currently is on Health care information technology, so I was looking at Network + and Security...
If you budget is constrained, then think outside the box. The TV studios cry because advertising on Hulu brings in a fraction of what advertising on TV does. People generally watch Hulu on Computers.
Wow, you can get dirt cheap ads explaining why CPU/APU processors are suited for things like...
I don't. I get whatever is the best price per performance. That's why I have a core2duo in one box, a phenom x3 (unlocked) in another box, an Apple Ipod, LG Optimus S cell phone, and a HP Touchpad (for 130 bux :) ) However, I would contend that more people do define themselves by brands and...
I still disagree completely. Brand recognition becomes increasingly more important on products that people have a small knowledge about how they work.
Most consumers do not care how a computer works, or even whats inside. Yes, they care about more Ram, HD, and even larger and bigger product...
That has got to be the stupidest move I've seen in a while - unless they are going to spin off the PC and Mobile units to another name / division to not affect the bottom line.
WebOS has great potential. Give it good hardware and optimize it for that hardware and you have the best multitasking...
Tbh, if anything its marketing fail on AMD's part. Most non-tech people have no idea about anything besides Intel. Even when AMD was on top (obviously Intel has been proven to do wrong doing, and they got off easily with a one time payment), the masses had no idea that p4 wasn't nearly as good...
