Seriously, go pick it up. I'm primarily a FPS player too, but a great game is a great game. It's easy to get into, pretty good story, tight gameplay, stable as all hell, and most importantly, fun. EDIT: Oh and the voice acting is some of the best in any game ever released.

Meh, I played QWTF competitively and could say the same about TFC, but I enjoyed both and enjoyed TF2 for the time I played that. Playing something you've already mastered an earlier iteration of makes it seem like less of a challenge.
