The general consensus from watching old SCI FI movies is that at some point in the future AI will become so advanced it will realize the only thing holding it back is us, or if it strives to become a perfect system it will acknowledge how imperfect we are, etc and thus be left with no other...
Has any thought about how this will affect copyright?
If the A.I. finds code and copies it what recourse does the original programmer have? Do you sue MS? Do you sue the A.I.?
We are entering interesting times.
This was a fun cooler to review. A veritable roller coaster of a cooler.
First with the excitement of an expandable water cooler. Followed by the lax quality control with the radiator finish. Then concluding with the amazing performance.
Hope you guys enjoyed.
Try using the Aida 64 suite. It can give you a reading per core and another reading for just the "CPU"
I find this to be the best method for getting close. There is no EXACT reading. Kyle made a post/article about this a while back when Intel switched from hardware monitoring to software...
Hey all,
Remember how when you were in grammar school and you had to sell chocolate bars as a fund raiser? Incentives were given out depending on how much you sold and your parents would bring the bars to work and sell them to their coworkers.
Well, this is nothing like that. (Sort of)...
We measure the sound to give users an idea of the noise created by the fans and the fins of the radiator (in the case of a water cooler) or tower (in the case of an air cooler).
From here a user can easily scroll up and down to see the performance of a cooler given its noise level. If you...
looks like shipping to you over there in Michigan is
USPS $27.61 standard post
UPS $40.14 Ground
FedEx $35.13 Home Delivery
these are all baseline prices with no add features like insurance or such so please take them as estimates.
Hey Guys,
I am selling the Thermaltake Level 10 GT we reviewed a while back here.
Just in case it wasn't obvious this case has gone unused (outside of the review) and has all accessories included.
Price $140
Newegg $240
I live in the Brooklyn, NY area so feel free to PM me if you want it...
I use the WDTV Live SMP and on my server I have Serviio running. It's free and for some reason it allows the WDTV to play higher bit rate movies than it normally could.
That whole setup looks fine. Undervolt it and just upgrade the video card to a fanless card. Something new but low power and you're rocking. 2GB of RAM is plenty.
Sorry for not being clear.
What I mean is this.
The H80i and H100i had integrated fan control built into the cooling unit. By downloading the corsair software you could then control them precisely.
The H90 and H110 have no such control BUILT-IN. That is they use PWM fan which...
The article is being updated.
The unit is larger all around than the AXP-100.
I was mistaken in those lines as I was thinking of the the extra space underneath the SilverStone unit being available for a fan and wrote something separate.
My mistake.
This fan is not as rigid as you might think.
It appears there is an enormous amount of pressure being exerted on the fan but there isn't.
In fact, that screw is tightened one-half turn after it was firmly seated.
Oh and the second picture might have some bevel due to lens distortion. I...
Here is the question everyone should ponder when looking at water cooling,
Will the extra few degrees improve my overclock?
If the answer is yes then I say go for it.
Most of the time the answer would be no (especially now that air cooling is getting very close to H2O) and it's better to...
Technically, it is the fan of the TS120 that is quieter. They both share the same design with the TS140 being bigger with more heatpipes. The difference in noise comes down to the different fan used on the TS120.
Most motherboards support USB 3.0 through ports on the rear of the board. New ones are starting to use headers located on the board as is the case with USB 2.0.
Rather than segment the market for their case, Thermaltake took the path guaranteed to work which is the extension cable system...
I didn't put up a chart for it but the fan used on the HR-02 is the same one used for a2a so the scores can be compared to any previous a2a chart.
Just realize this fan was tested inside a case where the previous ones were used on our test bench.
To address the point of cost. I used the MSRP...
P.S. I am disappointed with Prolimatech. After making a great name for themselves with the Megahelams they come out and embarrass themselves by offering this cooler for such an exorbitant price.
The competition is too great nowadays. I hope they learn fast.
Here is the thing about using a case.
If we use case X to test. We would get certain results that pertain to case X.
As long as all of our testing is done in case X than all the tests are comparable to each other right?
Well that is essentially what we are doing. We are making all the...
By comparison
It's kind of like having sex with a fat girl then going back to a healthy sized girl. She's not skinny but damn does she feel skinny by comparison.
You can call the Noctua NH-D14 the fat chick.
Thank you for your question.
In this industry there are no set standards but rather commonly accepted principles of testing.
To my knowledge we are the only ones using a thermocouple drilled into the IHS of the CPU to pull readings from.
I can tell you that these readings are different...
Apples to apples would not be fair in this situation.
Most other coolers use one fan and thus apples to apples in that case is easy.
Since the NH-D14 is designed for two fans how can we have an apples to apples comparison?
Working with this cooler was a tricky situation. All sorts of...
