Also, I've had two screens, three screens, and sizes and combinations between 20 and 30". I think your best option is one 27 or 30", for photo editing, at least. When I had more than one screen, it wasn't pleasant having to turn my head side to side to access the parts of Photoshop that I had...
Haven't posted in a long time but I had to log in and share some EQ love. Played 2000-2006 and it will always be my favorite game. I could never go back to playing it, I simply don't have the time nor would I want to spend that much time on a game again, but it holds my fondest gaming memories.
Definitely not possible to play Diablo 2 with just a mouse. If you think that, you have not played at an advanced level.
Playing well, even playing a fucking Hammerdin, required numerous hotkeys and constantly switching between many different abilities. You cannot do that with just a mouse...
Denon AH-D2000 plus an external mic. I prefer using these Denons over my Grado and Sennheiser headphones for gaming and movies. The bass is phenominal. I run have a nice DAC/AMP though.
I use a Blue microphone for communicating.
So I've owned multiple IPS, PVA, and TN monitors. I prefer both IPS and PVA for gaming.
On the TN panels that I've owned, playing a game with dark sets was horrible. The blacks were totally crushed to the point that I could not see any details in the shadows. Combine that with a glossy panel...
I played last night with the new patch and everything seems great. Didn't put a lot of time in it yet though. Still very much looking forward to the release.
I've not touched this game in weeks and I'm not very far into it, maybe 10 hours. I'm waiting for a real patch to fix it up. Kind of pissed it is taking so long with all the bugs....
This game was absolutely awesome! One of my recent favorites. It takes a little while to get used to the controls but once you do you will be hooked! I could waste hours in bliss grappling around and blowing stuff up.
Then the real fun is downloading modded vehicle packs that give you super...
Definitely my first four years of Everquest were the most memorable gaming experience for me. I'm so fond of it I usually resubscribe to EQ once per year.
Just below that, Tribes and Starcraft, playing online with friends. The first three months of WoW were pretty nice too.
And now that...
I have a U3011 and notice zero input lag. I've used it mostly for Photoshop but also played some BF3, Serious Sam 1, 2, and 3, Diablo 3, etc.
I am comparing it to my three U2311H monitors as well as my two 2007FP monitors.
No complaints.
Resident Evil games are based around this control scheme. It actually makes for very tense action and suspense when you don't know what is behind you and you can't spin around like in an FPS. If anything, the controls became much easier in 4 and 5.
I can understand that someone who has never...
Anyone else noting crazy bright bloom effects in some of the later levels? I must be on level 9 or 10 or somewhere around there and it is so bright in the desert that I am having a hard time seeing the enemies when not between canyons in the shade. I've disabled bloom but the effect is still...
I'm actually happy that it is always online and similar to an MMO. I love MMOs and I love the aspect of not having any cheaters/dupers around. Sure, someone usually finds a way to dupe money along the way in an MMO but it never lasts.
Think of Borderlands. If that game had a similar setup as...
I just started beta tonight. Have a wizard to level 9. Super fun so far. Crafting looks cool. I keep losing my connection though, not sure if it is Comcast or just bnet. Oh well. Looking forward to playing more tomorrow.
So I was a little harsh when first commenting on the game because I had only played through level 3 or 4. I do not recall at which level it started getting better, I'm thinking level 5, but from that point forward the game has been awesome. I'm really glad I stuck with it for the first few...
I remember being in middle school and going to the arcade to play Mortal Kombat 2. I used to play that game so much that I would have a line on the other side of the machine filled with college students. I would just cycle through them, kicking their asses one after the other. Thankfully these...
I'm a huge fan of Serious Sam in general and was very excited to buy this game. So far, I am not enjoying it as much as the first or second encounter. I'm not sure what it is. I'm only on the third level so far so maybe it will pick up soon.
A large curved screen would be amazing. Like imax! I think projectors are the only reality at the moment other than the aforementioned Alienware monitor.
In my opinion, the two best "open air" bench cases are:
1) Dimastech - Easy Bench 2.5

2) Microcool - Banchetto 101 (Rev. 2)
*side note for the curious: banchetto is Italian for bench and is pronounced "ban-khet-toe"...
DISCLAIMER: I have not used the S95 or any Leica, I have used my friends G11 and it is stellar, a little on the large side unless you have baggy pants! I am also a camera neophyte.
Canon S95 (good)
Canon G11 or G12 - depends on if you want articulating screen (gooder)
Leica D-Lux or M9...
