Stereo headphones and DAC or Soundcard for around £200.
Mic is not essential, would be nice but only if not compromising sound quality and from experience, "gaming" headsets are mostly garbage compared to HI-FI kit.

Personally, I am leaning towards the Asrock as it features two system fan headers, one PWM, the other a 3 pin.
The MSI just has one PWM fan header. Yes, I could get a PWM splitter but why do that if...
As much as I love my Roku, I would prefer a PC with a keyboard and touchpad.
Form factor is not an issue, can hide a case away.
Will be used as a Plex client (not server), web browser and general access point for streaming content through ethernet.
Will not be used for recording/encoding...

How is surround sound gaming nowadays?
