All my fans are set to always run at maximum. It's possible it's just hotter here than at his house, but we have air conditioning running, and it just seems like with one of the coolest cases and heatsinks on the market the processor running near its maximum heat capacity is a bit odd.
Thanks for the reply. Temps are identical with side on or off. The antec 900 has excellent ventilation, 2 120mm intakes in the front, one 120mm exhaust in top/back, and one 200mm exhaust on top. Temps in case seem fine except for the processor. I know B3s are hotter than g0s, but is this level...
Basically, the l2410nm problems are
-annoying controls (non-issue for me, I rarely use them after setting up the first time)
-crushing of blacks (can be largely improved with calibration)
-input lag (no worse than the average 24" display really, but it's there)
-makes soft high pitched...
I have a Tuniq Tower, Antec 900, and a q6600 B3. Temps at stock are 40 idle, 45 with light use, and 59 when running prime 95. A slight overclock to 2.6 brings the load temp all the way up to 65. I've already tried reseating it, didn't help temps at all. The heatsink actually seems pretty flat to...
Just got mine, haven't tested extensively yet, won't for a few days, just wanted to say that the crushing of blacks does appear to be correctable with calibration. With basic adjustments done, the image quality seems to be well within acceptable levels.
That's actually less input lag than the more expensive dell and samsung 24 inchers from what I remember, considering the price I think I'm willing to cope. Of course, I haven't tried one for myself yet, mine should come tomorrow and I'll post what I think when I've had some time with it.
These both give it a 4/10 and cite problems with the blacks.

Here are a few quotes...
I think it receives so little attention because every review of I've seen gave it a poor score and mentioned severe crushing of blacks, but it may very well be an excellent choice for the average user, especially as tv/monitor hybrid. I know I'm considering it.
