No experience with wireless headphones/headsets myself, but I remember reading that it only gets "good" with some models that are upwards of $200. Sounds like you aren't so much worried about the fidelity as the convenience of not having to deal with wires, though. I'd say check out those...
Exactly. The Corsair is the quickest and easiest fix. I agree with everyone saying to get a dedicated soundcard, headphones, and a mic. That's my setup plus an amp. The Zalman mic is super crisp and clear, though no noise cancelling so it'll pick up every noise in your room (in my experience).
I have a buddy who likes the Corsair headset you mention. Is sound quality important? If not, you can probably pick just about any of the gaming headsets in your price range and they'll be about the same.
Loving it so far, but have a couple quibbles (one of which is pretty big).
* Very console-ish. Think someone else already said this. It just feels like I'm playing a console game on my PC. Guess this is where gaming is headed anyway. This isn't too bad, really, but I feel like I should...
I'd have to suggest the Zalman clip-on as well. I have a Koss SB40 of my own, but the Zalman mic I clip on to my BD 770s sounds far, far better. Hell, it's only $10. As long as you already have a decent set of headphones go this route.
I actually like the Koss SB40 for an integrated solution. Prefer my K701s or DT770s if I don't need to use the mic, but the Koss definitely works well as a gaming headphone on the cheap ($30-40).
Between those two, the Senns are definitely the way to go. If you're looking to spend around 250 you may want to look at some Beyerdynamics, Audio-Technica, or even AKG.
Holy shhhh....just used that Steam calculator after I did some purchasing with this sale (Eidos Pack, Braid, LucasArts Adventure pack).

Wasn't sure where it'd be, but...oops? hah
I've had the Merc Stealth and the Razer Tarantula. While I liked them just fine, I found I wasn't really using all of their cool little features. I found the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard is fantastic and really thin. Feels great to type on and game with.
I'm looking into getting two wireless access points for a client and am looking for the best consumer-level AP with b/g/n functionality. Large range is important. Any suggestions?
The school is creepy, almost evoking a claustrophobic atmosphere. I guess that's the point!
The "mech" combat afterward seems almost out of place, but it's like taking in a breath of fresh air after nearly suffocating in the dark.
And if you're not a little spooked by the demo, follow...
I gotta say that I've seen PS2 games look good, but with my newly acquired fatboy running just composite it does not look very good at all on a 37" LCD. I may be comparing apples and oranges with PS2 and PS3 graphics, but I've heard Shadow of Colossus is a beautiful game and it looks like trash...
The SFIV PS3 stick works out-of-the-box with the PC and I've read that the 360 one just requires a driver installation.
Also, another suggestion would be a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3. Just got one last week and works great on both PS3 and PC.
Love it still on PC, never played the console version. I recommend it every time I get the chance. Its really fun and competitive online play is what's great. The single-player gets repetitive in the middle levels, but I thoroughly enjoyed it as a whole.
Which reminds me, the...
Stopped by a friend's house today and asked if he had his old PS2 that he never uses. Gave it to me along with a few games ;). It's one o the fat boys and I need a controller, but think I'm gonna pick up Shadow of the Colossus tomorrow and maybe SNK vs Capcom. Gotta get a memory card...
I read they're going to release some older Street Fighter Alpha games besides the one they have on there now and also Marvel vs Capcom 2. Hell, can't find that anywhere so will be nice when they do. However, I may have to hop on one if I can get it cheap!
I've been struggling with this same decision. If I can get one cheap, I think I'd do it. $60 sounds pretty good to me, but I don't usually go for pre-owned stuff unless I know where it came from. For that price I'd probably bite. Hmm..need to visit my Gamestop I guess.
I know more PS2...
Interesting turn in my SSC case. Just got off the phone with Buy.com and was expecting to hear the backorder story, in which case I was going to just cancel. Well, the guy says that it is supposed to ship tomorrow and I should get in on the 19th.
I ordered on Saturday 8:00 AM EST and...
