I just finished a rebuild with a Gigabyte GA-G31M-E2SL mobo, Antec P180 Mini case, and Corsair CMPSU-400CX PSU. The problem is when I power off, the computer completely turns off, waits a second, then reboots. This happens whether I shut down in windows or do a hard shutdown with the button just...
Figured it out used msvcrt:
# Needs to be in winamp folder
import os
import msvcrt
while 1:
char = msvcrt.getch()
if char == chr(27):
break
if char == chr(49):
print os.system('winamp.exe http://sc12.1.fm:7024')
if char == chr(50):
print...
I'm trying to make a winamp station selector in Python and it's working, I just don't like having to hit enter after each selection. Is there any way to do that in Python?
# Needs to be in winamp folder
while True:
import os
def X(): print os.system('winamp.exe...
A bit of a pita to set it up, but that tutorial really helped with the "linking,” but totally worth it! Does exactly as it promises, can just jump onto that other comp like I'm running dual monitors. Only one drawback I've found so far... if you're in a full screen game and your cursor...
I use a G15 kbd and G7 mouse.
I have two computers which I want to use the same kbd and mouse for (each machine has its own monitor, speakers, etc). Is there a KVM that would let me switch just the two usbs? I have this already, but it won't work for what I need as I don't have a ps/2 keyboard.
Too be honest a temperature gauge is what I really need, but they don't seem to make just a simple 3.5" temperature gauge. Always with a fan controller which I don't need because I have a shuttle. :(
Not a bad idea, not sure how much further I want to push the psu though. I remember seeing a little valueables drawer once, wish I could find that again. Did find this, though it seems like a bad idea to keep drinks that close to the tower... :p
I have a empty 3.5" bay slot in my shuttle. I don't really need a floppy anymore, and already have an external card reader. I saw a raid controller which would be awesome, but mounting it would take away a location for the second hard drive. Anybody seen any neat things that could take up that...
I was just about to post the same question. OC'd, it is looking to be close to same processing power as GTX but two on SLI would consume less power than one GTX. May be cheaper than the GTS too... Looks like a very tempting build for a shuttle!
I can't find a good answer anywhere. I am in a networking class and the prof told us to make a instant messenger. I am supposed to write the client. I decided it was a good excuse to learn c++ so I got Visual Studio 2005 and learned the basics from a couple books. I also know Java but am about...
he had a full build up on eBay and I asked if he could just sell me a case. He said he could but it cost 60 pounds for the case and 50 pounds to ship it. I checked through UPS and they said it would be even more. :mad: Oh well, I don't have 230$ anyway and really can't justify spending an extra...
I live in the states, but I am really set on a SG02. Has anybody had any luck getting one or know of a site that carries them that may ship? Any used ones perhaps?
Well first how set are you on a shuttle/how skilled are you at case modding? You'll have to hack out the side of the shuttle to fit the 8800gts. Also I'd be worried about high temps in the shuttle with that mod and a Q6600. And lastly, the shuttles tend to have tiny PSUs. Dunno if it will run...
Rogue looks awesome, but I can't find any info on it. Emailed the company to see if they will be marketing it soon. Small dimensions is a big deal to me.
Found another: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811125484&Tpk=matx
It's the Chenming MATX-118, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.
Will be a gaming system using Vista Ultimate on a Q6600 with 4gb of DDR2.
Found a chart that shows a test on raptors and older seagates. The newer seagates are faster. I'd be using Seagates newest 500s on RAID0 if I chose that direction... unless two 250s would be faster. I backup often, so...
Thanks all! I'll have to research LVM to see what it is, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up going RAID0. Could always do 2x250gb at RAID0 and a 500gb for extra storage/backup.
