what would you recommend taking the CPU to? What about RAM?

Now I am sarting to wonder if I should upgrade MB/CPU? I am currently running the following: Intel Core 2 2160 Gigabyte GA-P35 Motherboard 4 GB DDR2 I can put a core 2 duo or quad core in this board but it would still be ddr2 or do you think I should do MB/CPU/Mem + Vid card?

Nope that does not work either....I need it to be just a username with computer name in front of it but Vista defualts it to putting a computer name in front.

yes the 2 machines on the internal (router & cable modem network) are all 192.168.0.x all i want to do is be able to send files from the dsl torrent machine to the network (192.168.0.x) shares.

No I guess I explained that wrong then..I have 2 broadband connections at home. 1 cable & 1 dsl. I want to use the DSL soley for torrents right now BUT also want that machine capable of sending files to the other pc's on the cable broadband based network. does that make better sense?

Yes fresh XP install. Using a Seagate Sata drive. Chose the MOBO due to price at the time honestly. It was a freshly formatted HD.
