This is not true. The U3011 has the worst blacks I've seen out of the Ultrasharps. Have you seen the blacks on the U2711? The reason is because the U3011 has 16 CCFL lamps as opposed to the 8 and 4 on the U2711 and U2311. PVA has a bigger problem like black crush.
