Recently my Logitech G500 has been acting up (left-click not registering, sometimes double clicking when I only hit it once, etc), so I'm looking to replace it. I'm looking for something around the same size, as I have large hands. I also like having "extra" buttons on it, like fwd/back and DPI...
I'm looking to upgrade my gpu from a GTX 460 to a 970, but I'm not sure if i will need to immediately upgrade my PSU at the moment. I'm currently using a SeaSonic 520W, and I'm not sure if that will be enough.
I'm running an LGA 1155 i3-3220, 8gb of DDR3, and i have 2 HDDs and an SDD as well...
I am looking into getting a new card to replace my dead 9800GX2. I figured I would got with ATI/AMD because they appear to have a better performance/price ratio.
I'm torn between getting a 6870 or a 5850 though. Mainly these two:
XFX 6850 and XFX 5850
Any suggestions?
The rest of my...
I'd love one of those Gigabyte motherboards so I could finally upgrade my system. I'm a bit strapped for cash currently, and getting one of these would be an amazing help.
I have a radeon 4350 which isn't doing a terrible job at the moment. I want a media streamer so that when I move (and consequently don't have my work area and living room right next to each other) I can just hook it up to my home server and watch files without having to run a rather long HDMI...
So, i just got a HDTV (1080p) and I was going to hook my pc up to the tv to watch HD video. The only downside is that my graphics card died two days ago and I'm stuck with my backup card, which doesn't seem to want to render HD video of any sort.
I have been considering getting a media...
I used a 3.5" floppy in January installing RAID drivers on a machine at work... Before that, i used a few as bootdisks for an older laptop i have. Granted, i haven't gotten a new floppy disk in years.
I am going to be reformatting my computer and installing Windows 7 x64 within the next month. I figured it would be a good idea to add some more ram while i upgrade my system, and i've found a few sticks i am considering. I have a question on two before i make up my mind though.
My...
I still sense there will be a problem if the entire assembly was hit by a hammer... I don't think the pcb would be that flexible (or durable)
Cool stuff overall though. Now when can i get that in "wall sized"?
I'm looking for a good soldering iron or a soldering station in order to finish a few projects that I've been putting off. I have a relatively cheap iron at the moment (one of those "free gift after you spend X dollars" irons), and I'm at the point where i think its time to upgrade to a "real"...
Awesome concept, but it could have been implemented better. As in, hook the accelerometers up to a micro controller (Arduino or variant) and have it emulate a mouse, so that it is usable in more environments besides just LabView.
I'm pretty sure that in the past, brokep et al have mentioned that there are mirrors worldwide, and that they don't even know where all of them are.
Sure, if the site goes down, it'll suck. But the tracker is not going to be killed off all at once because the IFPI/MPAA/whoever they're being...
I'd personally skip that step, and short his outlet, and let his 360 fry.
But yeah, come on. Attacking with a TACO? I'm sure she's glad that he didn't grab a kitchen knife or something. I hope he enjoys being bubba's lady for a few days. That'll set him straight.
And this is why people are idiots. They should look into what they are buying, not just go "oh hey, it says i can DO everything that i can on windows. It must BE windows."
I love how they told us so much about it, but don't say a word about the windshield. That is slightly more important than the driver's side window that only goes down 3 in, at least in my mind.
Also, shouldn't the president have EZ Pass by now?
I'm looking for a decent video card for dirt cheap while my 8800Ultra is off being repaired/replaced.
I've been eying these two cards:
XFX PVT86SWAQG GeForce 8400 GS 512MB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150241
ASUS EN8400GS SILENT/HTP/512M GeForce 8400 GS 512MB...
The first one i know of is an old Diamond Viper V550 ATX TNTA AGP 16mb... I ripped it out of the old family pc two days ago.. lol
Then i had a GeForce 4 Ti4200, then a GeForce 8800Ultra (which is currently being RMA'd...)
One of my friends asked me to help him build a new rig. His price range is around $700, and he wants to stick with AMD/ATI. (He's in canada, so if you know of a good site to get these parts from, that'd help too.)
Here is what i have so far.
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz...
I encountered a weird artifacting problem with my 8800 Ultra (MSI NX8800 Ultra T20768E-HD-OC). I went to play fallout 3 this morning and the game froze and red artifacts popped up all over my screen. I restarted, and then the artifacts were there during the mobo initialization/boot info. I've...
I have a slight problem with my laptop... I somehow managed to break apt, and ldcofig.
Last monday i was updating Xubuntu 8.04 (i think the update was ldconfig-gnome or something of the like) when the update randomly stopped, and i got logged out. I figured it was all part of the process, and...
I'm helping my friend build a new computer. He is mild gamer, with no need for enthusiastic class hardware. All he wants is a decent system that will be good in a few years. He would also like to keep his hdd, dvd, and floppy drives. He would also like to try and stay under $650
With this...
I just noticed the post and decided "hey, what the hell"
Its an amazingly fast browser, with little known problems. The large amount of blue at the top is a little annoying, but i'm sure i'll be able to modify that in the future. Now, if I could only get adblockplus on here...
