On the edge of my seat in excited anticipation. Gigabyte en route.
Anyone know if UPS is experiencing weather delays? I got 3-day from the Egg but UPS is showing estimated delivery on Monday, even though it left Baldwin Park on the 28th. Hope springs eternal...
It may fluctuate. I couldn't make up my mind when the below HP BCB thread was posted and it went down to 10%.

Several days later it was back to 25% and I picked up a nice dv6t i5. HP apparently takes the full 60 days to return it, though.
Great case with an amazing amount of room inside. I've still got two of these in beige, one doing garage duty and the other out there to keep it company. Can't bear the idea of getting rid of them. Picked up a couple Silverstone USB panels for the 3.5" bay and some quiet Nexus 80mm fans and...
Anyone having issues with this driver running 1920x1080 into a 1080p TV? Connection is DVI-D to DVI-D but it doesn't recognize the digital signal and says its a VGA cable. Looks like crap. Fresh format and install of Win7, so I don't recall the previous driver that worked great. But that was...
Are you using Symantec Client firewall? It did the same thing to me. Called my CC company and the nice lady said there was no activity. I turned off the privacy control and ad blocking and it went right through.
If you can't find a used Q6600 that fits your budget, I've seen the E6750 used for under $100 here and on ebay. Awesome processor.
You shouldn't have to reflash, but if you do go here

Worked flawlessly...
The E8500 doesn't make much sense when you can get a Q9550 for about the same or only a bit more on sale. I went from an E6750 to the Q9550 last summer with only a simple reflash required. Had planned on a 275 to replace the 8800GT but my refrigerator died, leaving me broke. Now just waiting...
Oops. Forgot that GenMay is by subscription.
Ad blocking is digging into Kyle's pockets. He's let it be known that it might be more difficult in the near future to view the site if enabled.
Ref the FYI: For you Ad Blockers thread over in GenMay

I'm using Symantec Client Security with Ad Blocking enabled. I can't figure out what I need to add and permit in configuring Symantec Client Firewall so that Kyle's ads are not blocked...
A little overdue, but I ran into the same problem when I recently installed a Q9550. BIOS 18 didn't fully boot and reported very high temperatures, apparently due to a change in how the E0 stepping senses temperature. I found a link to a more recent bin (9/10/2008) on another forum. Replaced...
Much appreciated. A new video card is in the plan; didn't mentioned as I'm a little unsure of subforum etiquette. I'll probably go ahead and get the 9550 anyway, combo'd with a 260 or maybe a 275, but that one might be getting a little close to my 520HX's 42A limit.
Funny you should mention that. 2 gig more delivered today.
You're probably right. I'm at 1920x1080 with the 8800GT at 666 core and 972 memory. Core temp around 48C. Frame rate is all over the map, anywhere from about 18 to well over 100 fps, but usually about 30-70. Really busy furballs...
Like many others who've posted, I want to prolong the life of my 775. I noticed NewEgg has the Q9550 for $229 shipped now, a $40 drop since I looked a week or so ago, so it's getting awfully tempting. Seems to be a mixed bag of E0 and C1 steppings in the recent reviews, though. If I were to...
Dropped off my 6800 OC at a UPS store a few minutes ago. While BFG's offer to use their corporate rate was more than generous, it caused the clerk grief and confusion. I had a hard time getting her to understand that I was paying for it but using BFG's rate. She kept saying BFG was refusing...
Not sure what flight sims you're playing, but recent additions to Combat Flight Simulator 3 like ETO fly great at 1080p with mild overclocks on an 8800GT and an E6750. I would think you'll be just fine on a 9800GT and an E8400.
Seconded. I reloaded it several times before I noticed it was there.
Looks like the HX520 I ordered a few days ago was a good choice for now and still gives me some room to grow. Cool.
I recently reinstalled MW4 Mercenaries and went looking for updates. Have you tried the MechStorm HiDef patch? Breathes a little more life into it.

If you're thinking about a Mitsubishi DLP, go for the Diamond series DLP. Then for only a few hundred bucks more and a C2D or X2 PC, you can watch (or play a few games) in 3D HDTV. Apparently splits the 120 Hz signal into two 60s.
Saw a demo when the Mitsu trailer rolled through town a few...
Can anyone recommend the 650W Thermaltake W0128RU Toughpower? Could I expect similar build quality to the 750W Toughpower I read about on jonnyguru? Is the buzzing only an issue on the 750?
Thanks
Is there a current coupon someone might post? Want to head over there Sunday.
Just joined the Reward Zone and no idea when the coupon will be mailed.
Thanks
1. Have all the other NewEgg stuff I'll need to build another rig delivered to my office so that I can sneak it into the house when my wife's not there.
2. Phenom.
