Cherry MX red switches are linear, but use the same springs as those found in brown switches (less force required).
They're basically the best of both worlds, however as far as I know Filco doesn't use them in any of their keyboards.
My suggestion would be to try a Filco keyboard with...
Just got my Filco tenkeyless with black switches and its pretty much exactly what I wanted. The higher actuation force prevents accidental keystrokes and the lack of a tactile bump "forces" you to bottom out the keys for the audible feedback you're used to. It's also much quieter than the...
Received my Filco tenkeyless w/ browns a couple of days ago, and I'm super impressed by the build quality, I just don't care for the super light actuation force of the brown switches.
Ordered the same keyboard with black switches; hopefully the linear design and higher actuation force will...

I think thats everything :>
There is very little difference between DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 outside of synthetic benchmarks.
Most people seem to agree however that DDR-1600 CAS 8 memory is the "sweet spot" to aim for before you start seeing terrible diminishing returns.
Whether you agree or not, it's still a fact that they are regarded that way by the majority of computer enthusiasts, at least as far as I can tell.
I've also worked with all three brands of cases and Lian Li is just in a different league, again, in my opinion.
Lian Li (and Silverstone to a degree) is widely regarded as having the best build quality of any case manufacturer. Antec is actually second-tier by comparison, imo.
P6X58D-E:
Updated Marvell raid controller (9128) with support for SATA 6Gbps RAID
No optional fan
Fewer heatpipes
No onboard reset button (onboard power button remains)
Single LAN port
P6X58D Premium:
Older Marvell raid controller
Optional fan
More heatpipes
Onboard power and...
The p6x58d-e comes with an updated Marvell raid controller (9128) that supposedly supports sata 6gb/s RAID.

I'm still waiting on my remaining components to come in to confirm this.
Problems with one particular model of one particular brand of memory hardly constitutes "MASSIVE memory compatibility issues".
Many users have had zero problems using Corsair, Mushkin and GSkill sticks in this board. Personally I'm using Mushkin ridgebacks (998827) and they work flawlessly...
Mine arrives tomorrow :) Picked it up for $220 shipped from ewiz (SHOWERS15 promo code for $15 off).
As noted, the board uses an updated raid controller, has only 1 ethernet port, is missing a few of the extra heatpipes, doesn't come with the optional fan and is missing the onboard reset...
It's probably worth mentioning that there is now an E revision of this board available (p6x58d-e).
The new board has an updated raid controller, one less ethernet port, less heatpipes and doesn't include the optional fan, but costs around $80 less. I picked one up from ewiz the other day for...
I'm attempting to decide on a x58 motherboard, and while looking through customer reviews, I've noticed that x58 boards in general seem to suffer from "long" (I understand this is subjective) post times, with EVGA appearing to get more complaints than others.
I'd like to get a gauge on what...
That's not New Zealand's currency, it's South Africa's (rand). R4547.30 = $627, but as indicated, this includes the country's value added tax, which wouldn't necessarily be represented in the American price tag.
Does anyone have any experience using these speakers as part of a computer setup? I was planning on getting a used/refurb HK stereo receiver and running a simple 2.1 setup with these and maybe a Dayton 10" sub.
I'm just wondering whether they'd be appropriate for gaming/movies on a pc...
The Air Force. Look up the 3c0x1 career field (computer operations), as it deals mostly with computer/server administration. There are similar career fields, such as 3c2x1 (tech control), but those focus more on specialized skill sets such as router/switch configuration and long haul circuitry...
It's a custom built desk I found here: http://www.mybrainhurts.com/blog/archive/2006_11_01_index.html (scroll down)
Like he said, it's basically 2 filing cabinets with a marble-looking counter top slapped on top.
I plan on doing the same thing myself :)
While you're right about the warranty, in this case it won't get him a new mx1000; they've been discontinued. Instead, they'll ship him a mx revolution. Personally, I'd just ebay the replacement and use the money to buy a g7 or something.
