In the case of that argument what's good for the goose is also good for the gander. It might also be possible that the buyer unintentionally and without realizing damaged the motherboard himself. You all know how delicate mobos can be...
About thinking that "i think the seller knowingly sold...
Well I'll be damned.
I downloaded a free utility called IMGBURN from here http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download and it allowed me to burn a photo on a cd! It's the first time that my drive really used its burning function!
I still have the nagging thought as to why the normal...
It isn't.
The Event Viewer in System says the following after an attempted burn: (Found in Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer)
Service Control Manager:
- The IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service service was successfully sent a start control.
- The IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service...
lol I understand the confusion of my apparently funny post. Let's just say it's a chirp. A very loud chirp, as loud as a pebble hitting a glass window :D . I keep my Z5500's switched off unless I'm gaming/listening to music or playing dvd, so I'm sure it's from inside the tower. And it's the...
tzk, it can't be my drive.
(lol I sympathise with you for not reading all of my very long boring first post ;) )
However I mentioned that I swapped drives with the one from another computer.
My drive works in the other computer.
The other computer's drive (which used to burn with no...
It's a bit difficult to describe, and it like only happens once during the time when the pc is switched on, or none at all (or maybe I miss it by not being in the room when it happens). It happens after the pc has been running for more than one hour or two and only happens once.
The sound is...
EVIL-SCOTSMAN, I fixed the images in my post. I had replied while you were editing your post and missed answering.
I agree that it must be software. However it's difficult to determine what software, since I remember the same problem was present on the day I assembled the pc, with no software...
Jmho but for Oblivion on max settings you'd be far better off getting the 8800GT or 8800GTS 512MB rather than the 3850.
I play Oblivion with Shivering Isles and Exp Packs + the mods OOO, MMM, QTP3 on an 8800GT and I have to say that it's very good.
Here is my 22" LG L226WTQ.
Lol I took a pic of it then I didn't like it so I took another pic leaving the old pic on the monitor so it's a pic within a pic.
Here's my previous 19" Olidata:
And my new 22" wide LG:
I'd agree, but where would you be getting 2 TB of SSD's? The ones in production I know are 64GB Samsungs, and to get 2TB's you'd be needing... like 32 of them? :p
I H8 those! Fortunately I was lucky to view my dad's screen which he is so proud of having because it's the latest and blah bleh... before purchasing my new 22".
However you guys are lucky.
In my country they lie much more blatantly. Imagine they're still selling P4 systems as a bargain...
It does make a difference in performance, if you choose a sound card like X-Fi which processes sound within its own little 'cpu'.
You will see a performance only if your games are being bottlenecked by the cpu though and with an x-fi you'd be reducing cpu load. If your system is bottlenecked by...
Jmho but I don't think it is ever in the interest of the consumer when two 'giants' join up. It lessens competition, increases monopoly, increases prices.... and guess who has to pay to get previously free/competitive stuff?
This thread also reminded me on a joke as to what name the new...
About the OC voltage, that's something called vdroop. Depending on the quality of your mobo and psu, you could be giving 1.5V to your cpu but by the time it arrives there there are losses and you'd be getting less.
All components get vdroop. Some components might be better quality and you'd...
It's a guess, but I say it's a mobo problem.
Normally that'd be it whenever a computer 'freaks out' unexplainably.
To give you an example, I've got a relatively oldish 7year old willamette P4 1.6Ghz, 512MB RAM and an P4VXMS ECS mobo on my other pc. Wait you ALSO have an ECS mobo??? Hmmmmmm...
OP, what's your room temperature?
When my room temperature is around 22C I get the same temps as ND40oz actually better because I don't go over 61C on an E4300 1.8Ghz stock OC'd to 3.0Ghz.
However, in summer in an un-airconditioned room the room temperature used to reach even 36C and at...
Same as that (perhaps getting the high-end quad instead) but with tri-SLi, only one 1TB HDD and 4x64GB Samsung solid state drives raided, and 2 blu-ray odd's.
*drools*
The thing why I've been procrastinating with doing a clean install (apart from having to copy lots of stuff like photos and movies ugh) is that when I first assembled my pc and tested it out I the same problem was already present! That's with an empty hard disk with the first virgin install of...
Try using the onboard graphics connector on the mobo first. That way you can determine if the problem is from the video card... or not....
Edit: I'm not sure if you have a graphics connector on your mobo though, mine hasn't.
Hello everyone, I'm a long time-lurker :) (Please excuse my awkward english because it's not my native language).
I've been battling this problem for a month or so now, to no avail.
I assembled this pc myself last year. Overclocked the E4300 to a stable 3.2Ghz on zalman 9500 cooler, and...
I noticed that when my ambient (room) temperature is 23 degrees my cpu idles at 34, and when ambient is 28 my cpu idles at 39. Hence apparently my cpu always idles at 11 degrees higher than ambient.
My pc specs are in my signature, and I'm using Coretemp 0.95 to monitor the temperatures...
I'm running XP Pro.
I saw the nvidia site and the driver is 94.24
Then I read on some threads here about a driver 158.22 or 158.27?
Which driver would you suggest I should be getting?
The driver I have currently is:
Driver Version: 6.14.0011.0095 (English)
DDI Version: 9 (or...
Does it mention anything on the motherboard's manual?
You could try Nvidia Ntune... it has a feature to adjust bus speeds, memory timings and voltages "to achieve best performance".
Download: http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility.html
I never tried it myself though.
Also check...
Hi, I had been googling about temperature utilities for my C2D since I was in difficulty about the various results which various utilities gave, and google led me to this thread.
I read the whole thread and wish to thank you for the explanations given here!
I've got an E4300 which I...
