QDC's can have an impact on your flow but so will angled fittings. If you go with the Koolance High flow no drip QDC's . The have both threaded and compression's as well as ones that include and angle fitting. As far as the where the male/female is in regards to water flow it makes no difference.

That would be a sound card.;)
