Finally was able to get a G2 from the MS store last week. I use VR exclusively for sim racing via iRacing and have had a Samsung Odyssey+ for the last ~2 years.
I was absolutely blown away at the improvement in clarity for the G2 vs the Samsung - iRacing is like a whole different game now and...
I've never really been a CoD player, but a bunch of my gaming friends picked this up, so I went ahead and grabbed it Friday. So far I'm really liking it. The pace of multiplayer definitely takes some getting used to, but it's a fun change from some of the other games I've done. I also really...
I'd played through all the Legion content and re-activated my sub for BfA. So far it's been a lot of fun, especially with the focus on war mode pvp interactions in world quests.
Yeah, it's live now, although the legacy servers are a mess. Took me 90 minutes in the queue on Stormrage and its super slow doing anything.
Edit: Annnnd just like that booted from the server. I pretty much expected this, but am still disappointed.
So far I haven't had any issues in ~30 hours of use, including a number of really long gaming sessions. Overall I'm happy with the monitor and think that at the sale price it's a pretty solid buy.
I'll second that - I recently used my boost after not playing for awhile and just eased into it. I was doing dungeons and my first raid (yay!) within a pretty minimal amount of time.
I just picked up one of these this week on sale coming from a 27in Dell IPS that I've had about 5 years. So far I really like it - the extra size is great for general use, and I had no idea what a huge improvement moving to 144hz would be from an older 60hz. The colors and text sharpness...
They sort of have that with the war modes that run periodically - spawn with a KAR and a ghille suit or some such. I find those modes to be more fun than the standard mode, or at least something fresher and different. Still have to jump out of the plane, but it's a little quicker.
+1
It's been long enough that I don't really care about Half Life anymore. Even if 3 was legitimately announced tomorrow, I'd have a hard time getting excited.
I loved Half Life and was excited for the episodic releases and the prospect of a 3rd game. Now though, it's been long enough and with enough existence/release hype that I don't really care anymore.
I'd probably buy it if it came out, but I have zero actual excitement.
I've been playing online recently and find it to be one of the most frustrating games ever for me because of how bad I am. On the flip side, it's very rewarding to do a bunch of practice drills and then go into a game and play measurably better.
That's an interesting observation. My favorite example of this done well is Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta. You never see his face, but he imparts such feeling with his voice that you forget it's a mask after the first bit.
That's been here for quite some time, at least with Comcast. Want to watch a popular show OnDemand? Be prepared to not be able to fast forward.
At the moment my only hope is that Google Fiber finishes rolling out in Nashville, and I'm able to sign up with them.
I also picked this up as part of an Xbone bundle over the weekend and really like what I've seen so far. The first TR reboot was one of my favorite games to come out in the last few years, and this one is starting out really nicely.
This is the first console I've owned in over 10 years, and...
It seemed to me over the weekend that people started to figure out how to win as Rebels too (air support being pretty important). As the weekend went on I saw quite a few Rebel wins.
Upgraded from 7 earlier this week. So far everything seems to work just fine - including my Xfi HD, which I wasn't expecting.
I'm still configuring everything, but overall seems to be pretty quick and easy to use.
I somehow managed to put it almost 20 hours over the weekend without even realizing it. I just got to level 9 and finished what I thought was the first really tough battle. Doing pretty well with Elementalist/Cleric mains and Madora + Jahan.
I haven't enjoyed a game this much in a long time.
I picked this up and have really been enjoying it.
I wasn't sure I would like it since I didn't really play BG or similar games back in the day, but I'm really enjoying the depth of the mechanics and the slower, more exploration focused pacing than most of the more recent RPGs that are just...
Well, crossfire isn't producing the artifacts anymore but it runs like crap - I get less stuttering and smoother play with it disabled. I'll have to see if there are some updated drivers available.
Looks like they fixed the SLI/crossfire artifacting/corruption issues that were keeping me running on only 1 card.
Anyone tried crossfire yet to see if it's actually fixed?
I'm not sure how it would be with low-rate streamed content like what is being discussed here, but I've seen a couple 55~60in 4K demo sets using real 4k content that look amazingly better than 1080p at normal viewing distances.
Played for several hours last night and having a blast. This is one of the more purely fun FPS that I've played in a long time.
I feel that one of the big successes of this game is that skilled players can still dominate, but newer players can still enjoy themselves and not feel like they...
I finally found a decent deal, so I went ahead and bit. I feel like the overall reaction was pretty positive, so hopefully I'll enjoy it.
The best thing so far is that I'm actually getting 25 Mb/s speeds while downloading it, which I've never seen before, so kudos to them for getting some...
My elementalist is 55 now, and I'm starting to feel the same way. I don't really have any issues with PvE, and It may just be my perception, but I feel like I have a hell of a time taking down anyone in WvW and that I die really easily after relatively few hits.
I definitely feel the 'glass'...
I finally transferred to Borlis Pass yesterday. Hopefully I can get in with the [H] at some point.
We were getting our asses handed to us earlier today in WvW, but I saw some really great coordinated defense, and we had some great battles that weren't just mindless zerging, so looking...
