I am thinking of getting a 10940x and a 5600xt.
What is a good ATX motherboard for it?
Originally I wanted to buy an ITX board to make a SFF PC. But i realize that ATX boards are best for overclocking because they seem to have better VRM. Is that true?
I think i have to budget down a bit. So instead of the 10980XE I am going for the 10940X.
Then maybe a 5600XT and a Gigabyte Vision D.
What would be the best budget PSU that would last a long time ?
My next set up will be a ryzen 1700x with stock cooling. I used to be like most of you here, trying to get as much as possible out of the CPU. I tried to read as much as possible on Coolers etc. The heat dissipation from increasing the voltage, the money spent on coolers, the crashes, etc. in...
I would rather deal with 3.9ghz at much lower voltage and wattage and easy air cooling than 4ghz at much higher voltage and huge heat dissipation and potential crashes and liquid cooling. What's the point of getting 0.1 ghz (2%) while getting into so much trouble for that ?

you must have meant this one.
What do you mean, Pieter3dnow ?
Reason I am with AMD because of low priced deals. I used to pay $100 for a 8320e + a motherboard. These days the ryzens are a bit higher, so I want to cut down on other components.
It looks like an exclusive for FRYS or something. I can't find anything like this anywhere else.

I was going to ask the the Forum how good the Realtek ALC1220 is. I guess it is pretty good from what I could see here.
Is that true ? 120db is supposed to be awesome right ?

Looks like I will go for the Taichi.
It seems to me that for the same price you pay for lets say a 1050 ti or 1060ti or 1070ti, you can always find an RX series card that is faster. Is that true ? I wonder why Nividia is normally pricier than AMD Radeon
Hello everyone,
I am going to build my Ryzen system soon.
I want to overclock a 1700
I want to have ALC1220 audtio chip
I want to have AC wireless built in.
I want to keep the price low to maybe $160 max.
Could someone recommend a motherboard for me ?
Thanks
Well I buy AMD CPU to support them, but its also cause of the better price/performance ratio. If it proves that the the i770K is the same price for better performance I would go with Intel
