Update.
I was conversing with a watchguard sales rep earlier today and she sent me the data sheet. The Watchguard xtm 33 mtbf is 33 Wired or Wireless 129,955 hours @ 104° F (40° C ), while the 330 is 51,644 hours @ 77° F (25° C). This seems to be an incredible difference between the two. The...
Hi I work with an insurance business and its time to install a new router, the old one is getting up in years. I've tried googling but have found its hard to find any concrete recommendations on new routers. We'd like it to be fast, reliable, with wireless and the ability to restrict internet...
I'm shopping for a router for a local dentistry. I haven't shopped for a business router before and would like some recommendations. I'm looking for something that can do two wireless networks, one secure and another for guests. I'd also like some gateway firewall and antivirus security...
I recommend avoiding xp 64-bit. The whole 64-bit thing happened somewhat late in xp's development cycle and is notoriously buggy with little support. If you have more than 4GB of memory get a newer MS OS or linux.
I'm comparing versions of small business server software and am having trouble understanding the difference between Small business server 11 and MS Server essentials 2012. I understand that MS dropped the "small business" moniker and MS Server Essentials fills the same market segment, but it...
I've been running AMD gpus since the 9700 pro and haven't had much issue so I just grabbed a 7870.
As much as I love ATI/AMD there has been problems with Shogun 2 Total War (total war games are by far my favorite) and the 7800 series that have been ongoing since release and I just found out...
Hi
Yesterday I finished setting up a small Silverstone SG 09B (Think thats the name, not looking) and it's just a bit too loud. I'm intending on using it most of the time to do productive things while gaming time on it will be a minority.
I tried setting up Speedfan but I did not see my...
Hi
At work I use a wireless Logitech wave keyboard and MX510 mouse combo. They are both wireless and use one receiver. At home I have a Logitech wave keyboard but a wireless mouse. Does anyone know if I were to just buy another Logitech mouse, say the 510, would I just need 1 receiver?
I'm estimating it would cost $600 for the case, MB, vid card and power supply. $650 because I just checked my microATX board and the memory is 4x4GB rather than 2x8GB like I thought.
Vid card- I was thinking anywhere between $160-$250, ranging from 1GB 7850s to 660 TI. I have not made up my...
My current case is the coolermaster sniper.
Now, I absolutely love that thing. But, I did leave some details out that I didn't think necessary. Right now, I have 2 computers, one for work and one for home. That case is my home computer. This new rig would be a frankenstein of the two, in a...
In theory either would be fine, but if the mini-ITX case is significantly smaller I might be tempted to go that route.
I'll need to buy (in order of importance, I might be able to get away without the parts lower on the list)
The case, of course
Vid card
MB
Module power supply
I have...
I'm somewhat sick of my large immobile desktop tower and am considering slimming down the form factor of my desktop. Specifically, I'm thinking about switching to this case.

I'd prefer a Quad, but I suppose I'm not sure how much I need it. Occasional photoshop will be the toughest task, more often it will be doing the normal daily computing thing.
I'm looking for a 13-15" laptop with a quadcore i7 something, at least 8GB of ram, preferably a SSD, long lasting battery life and hopefully something light as well. Also, it needs to be comfortable to type on. Does anyone have a recommendation?
Supcom is great, but this thread has seemed to forget to differentiate Supcom and Supcom FA. Supcom FA had an easier economy and was generally a faster game. They are definitely different. Personally, I liked the exponential nature of Supcom's economy but FA probably made for a better ladder game.
To Ockie: The current solution is working, but its a bit sloppy. Right now they have the software installed on a desktop then mapped on a network drive to the other computers that need it in a home group. They are due for an upgrade and I could get them a sbs box, but I've been trying to find...
Hi
I've taken over IT for a jewelry company in town and I've been trying to get my new clients completely into a cloud solution like Office 365. I've been dealing mainly in small business and my goal has been getting the server off premises.
The problem is they use a jewelry database program...
I was wondering about that. To be fair, when I game on it I will most definitely be plugged into a power supply (as well as when doing photoshop). When on battery I probably won't be doing anything more intense than Word or the internet. So battery life while gaming is irrelevant to me. I'm...
I'm trying to find a laptop that has good battery life, lightweight, with a decent gaming card in that order of importance. It seems that every laptop with a good battery comes with a crappy card, and every laptop with a good card has terrible battery life. Why do these features seem to be...
Sometimes with these older games I need to force single core. Try that. If that doesn't work, consider running a virtual box for it. I haven't tried that with older games but I'm assuming it will work. (i.e. use win 98 or something)
So its a 2d map instead of a 3d map? Immense turnoff for me, someone seeking a a great space 4x game. That's what ruined Galactic Civ for me, I never felt like I was in space. I like 2d maps but they might as well be in a terrestrial game.
Do powerful enemies exist in this game that I can fight? I love the tension that is created when an overwhelmingly powerful enemy exists and I must build an empire to crush it. I definitely never bore faster in a sandbox game when I get a decent empire going and then realize that every enemy is...
If they're sandbox games and take 1000 hours then I'd like to play whichever one has the most complete gameplay. Looking at the wikipedia page, I must have assumed there were more add on packs than there actually are.
I'm reading the wikia for story, so I don't really need to play multiple...
