I have had multiple issues with the WIndows update Nvidia motherboard drivers. If you are really worried about having outdated drivers then go to www.Nvidia.com and download the latest ones for your board.

This may seem weird but make sure your floppy drive is disabled in the BIOS. I have had this issue with multiple system and installing Windows 7.

Sounds like what my 550watt Aerocool did. Definitely a PSU. The only problem with the paper clip test is that there is no "real" load on the unit. All it will do is power its fan.

I personally would be a little weary of loading a 720 watt PSU with 2 large video cards. Yes it does have a decent amperage but you are probably running that PSU at close to 100% capacity thus reducing its life span.

It could be either: A. Your PSU is being overloaded. B. The coils in the PSU are just making noise. I had this happen with my 8800GTX's and 8800 Ultras. The Ultra X3 850watt PSU sqeals when it is put under a load but it is normal.

Yeah but the 945 is a lot better than the 915. My brother had an 805 and his friend had an E4300 at the time and despite the 805 having a 2.66ghz core speed and the E4300 only having 1.86 the E4300 was far faster. Their setups were identical except for the CPU's.
