How would it be eating Titan XP sales when the XP is double the cost of the 1080? They could simply release the Ti for $850 and it fits perfectly in the middle price point. I would certainly never pick up the XP at those prices so they're missing a segment of the market that feel the same as me.
I wouldn't count on a 1080Ti not making an appearance simply because I think a 10GB card could be a nice jump for those that don't want to spring for a full Titan. Playing on a 3440 x 1440 display now, I'm already seeing 6GB used on a 1080 FTW at 2.1GHz for current games, so I'm sure the folks...
Thought rather than the typical clickbait, this at least provided some reasoning behind the speculation.

Honestly it makes sense to wait until Computex or E3 since there's no competition. Could be June for all those still waiting...
Ok, time for more clarity. I believe I've found most of what they used, however one major one still eludes me.

Check out the one that looks like a T-Block fitting near the rear exhaust fan. It has three exit points. All I can...
I've always preferred a custom loop because you can customize it. It just simply looks better to me. I don't care about the cost. Plus, I personally cannot stand the hideous AIO tubes.
Can anyone post links to the different Bitspower fittings that are used on the MAINGEAR Razer Edition PC? I searched the main cooling sites and can't seem to find the same ones for some reason.
Tried another brand new 2GB flash drive formatted to FAT32. This one didn't work either. Even tried to download the official latest BIOS from the ASUS site and that one also didn't work. Maybe M.2 isn't in the cards for this build.
Certainly don't want to brick my board. I've performed both BIOS flashback and EZ Flash once. When I did it, I recall renaming my file .CAP though. Maybe a 4GB stick is needed?
It's entirely possible. I have two smaller ones at my disposal, one Kingston 8GB and one 16GB. The 8GB is formatted to FAT32 and is recognized when in the BIOS. The 16GB is formatted to NTFS and isn't recognized. So if it's recognized in UEFI one would assume it would function using the white...
Unfortunately USB BIOS Flashback exhibits the same behavior. Button flashes three times, then solid and no flash drive activity.
EZ Flash gives the following error this time: "security verification failed"
The error states the following using EZ Flash: "selected file is not a uefi bios"
P9X79 Deluxe BIOS 4801 has been modded with NVME module and uploaded here:

I have an ASUS P9X79 Deluxe. I cannot get the ASUS USB BIOS Flashback to work. I push the USB Flashback button and release when the light starts to flash. Light flashes 3 times and then the LED on the button stays solid. No activity on the USB drive.
I have tried the following:
Format a 16G...
Just get a version of the 1080 that you like. I stopped waiting December 31st. Just had a feeling it wasn't gonna happen. $699 for the Hydro Copper on Amazon was my pick.
Since I'm still on the 680, that's exactly why I think I'm done waiting. Between the 980ti step up buyers getting first dibs, then the scalpers hogging up the remaining supply, it'll be July by the time the rest get a chance to pay retail for these cards. I think it's time I just buy the 1080...
Hey everyone,
I want to gather some opinions on the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW Hydro Copper. I can't find any reviews online even though they are available for purchase at several retail sites. I was hoping for some temperature comparisons between this model and the ones on air.
I currently have my...
I kind of wanted to dig this one up from the grave because there's been no recent announcements regarding refreshes for either of these models and I'm really itching to upgrade my gaming setup. All I've heard is a possible 2017 release date for a X34P, but who knows when that'll be. There's only...
I received the NZXT Grid+ V2 and proceeded to connect everything, and install CAM. After fumbling around the GUI for a few minutes, it appeared that CAM detected only 2 of the 5 fans. This was odd considering that all 5 fans were spinning. Once I started adjusting the voltage on each port, some...
My initial configuration had it disabled. I've done a couple of searches and they align with what you found; Speedfan's possible incompatibility with this particular board. When doing a search of over 900 boards on Speedfan's database, the P9X79 was not there. Kind of telling I suppose. AI Suite...
I've tried all the Q-Fan Control settings and there's no 'Voltage', 'PWM', or 'DC' settings to choose from. Just 'Enabled' and 'Disabled'. I've tried changing the fan profile to "Silent' and 'Manual' with no change to the speeds or the availability of a 'Software Controlled' option in Speedfan.
Unfortunately it's not working. I connected the cable splitter to the CPU_FAN header and enabled CPU Q-Fan Control in BIOS. I followed the video trying all of the available settings and the speeds do not change. Any ideas? Do I need a specific fan connected to the red port on splitter? Am I...
Thank you for bringing this to my attention pendragon. As a result, I decided to do some more research regarding fan pins and their function. I came across this very helpful article if people are curious in the future.
Fan speed control how-to, 2-pin vs.3-pin vs. 4-pin
What I understood is the...
Thanks for the tips guys. I'm going to go with the Swiftech splitter and Speedfan. Based on reviews, it seems like the software is kinda buggy on the NZXT Grid+ V2 and the fans are difficult to remove.
Edit:
It appears that the GELID 120mm and 140mm Gamer Fans I purchased a few years ago...
Hello everyone,
I've finally decided to do something about my fan noise. I have a custom looped rig cooling my processor and my two GPUs in SLI. I have the following fans that really need to be turned down while performing idle tasks:
x3 120mm fans cooling my radiator up top
x1 140mm fan...
Thanks for the heads up silent-circuit. Obviously I'm skeptical that a great 40" 4k display could be had for around $500. It's looking like what I'm looking for is realistically going to set me back about $1000. The Samsung JU7500 television is tempting based on the ratings, but again, over...
Thanks jmilcher, I came across that page and wasn't too impressed with the other aspects of the television to be honest. The judder seems to be an issue when viewing movies. Also, according to the article, I inferred that G-SYNC and 120Hz aren't really needed to have a nice gaming experience...
Wondering what everyone thinks of using the UN40KU6300 as a monitor. I'm going to be upgrading to the GTX 1080 and wanted to pair a 4k monitor that's at least 32". Unfortunately, I'm not seeing reviews for this television used as a monitor for gaming.
Do you think input lag would be an issue...
Great explanation and thank you all so much for the prompt and very helpful responses! I now happily report that after the change, my highest temps were within 3 degrees of each other on my benchmark coming in at 40 and 43 degrees.
Resolution: 1900x1200

Interesting; I see. It's almost 2am here but I'm going to have a go at that. Just to clarify, connect one position to the left but still at the bottom, right? Oh and yes, you have the flow going the opposite direction. : )
I'm at a loss here guys. The title says it all. I just installed a second GTX 680 in my loop and it runs upwards of 40-50 degrees centigrade hotter than the second card in Heaven. I took out the card that wasn't overheating and the hot one runs nice and cool all alone. It must be something in...
Latest update. The issue is with DisplayPort. I swapped the DisplayPort cable with a DVI cable and everything is fine.
I remembered that I have another card with DisplayPorts on it. It worked fine. Looks like a call to Nvidia and probably the second RMA on this GTX 680. Might be time to step up.
Great ideas mavrocket. This is one of the reasons I decided to just try re-installing Win8. Fresh default drivers never failed with this set-up in the past. The problem remained identical though even after the install was completed and the PC tried booting for the first time.
I'm bringing home...
