I've had an Antec Mini p180 for years now and am ready to part ways. I'd like to stay with a similar footprint, but perhaps a bit smaller. It needs to be able to fit the items in my sig. I've been out of the SFF loop for some time now. The guts are relatively new, so will be holding into...
How's the overall game-play? Just as fun as the original? I've got very fond memories of launching out of a Galaxy a mile up with a squad on top of an enemy base lol. The community back then was stellar, I use to play with a group called "Rolling Thunder". No clue if they still exist.
I'm VERY torn on getting into this game or not. I was a HUGE fan of Planetside 1 for over a year before moving on. The whole pay for items thing is really hanging me up. Is it a barrier to entry? Is it really that hard to level and obtain new items?
I'm an Asus fan, but will certainly give the ASRock a good look.
My current drives are in my sig, but I think I'm going to pass those on as well in favor of one single large storage drive.
Zap, this why I love these forums! Thanks much for the advice. This is incredibly helpful. I'm going to step the CPU and ram back a bit so that I can grab a larger SSD. And you're correct about the storage drives, I've noticed most mobos are 6gb/s now. I'd like to take advantage of that...
Well, it's been years since my last build, so I decided the other day to do a gut of my current system. My current build has been awesome, but it's showing its age. The old parts are going to a friend, so it all works out.
I decided to go a little more high-end this time, as I don't plan on...
Running absolutely smooth on the rig in my signature. I'm enjoying every moment thus far and can't see it changing at all. The game isn't perfect, but once mods start coming, it'll elevate an already superb experience ten fold.
Geesh that's insane! I saw a guy with 10k points during a match the other day. He had zero kills and his points just kept ticking up in small increments. I have to believe they'll nip stuff like this in the butt soon.
Playing 64 player "Hardcore" only and absolutely friggen loving every second of it! I do well enough and even when getting my tail kicked, I still enjoy myself. Mortars, which I haven't tried yet, are pure death. Having them blasting all around you is crazy! This is honestly the most fun...
Gearing up for a few new launches and am debating on a GPU upgrade or not. I love my 5870 and it's served me incredibly well. I'm now gaming on a 24" monitor and am considering a second 5870 for Skyrim, BF3 etc.
I could also get a new video card, but would prefer the cheaper option...
Finally gave this a real go over the past few days. It was certainly hard to get started, but I'm now having a friggen blast! This game has totally brought me out of the DA2 blues haha.
The story is superb and the combat very entertaining. I wonder what they have in store next?
Those who have the money get the best stuff and those who don't, get nada. Seems like a very poor decision, especially based on the current economic climate. Paying for gear is ridiculous to me. I understand it for sure, but it's just not cool.
Man this game is fantastic! I'm not much of a strategy Gamer, but Shogun 2 sucked me in within seconds. Never have I experienced such an intuitive and helpful tutorial system. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but soon found myself at ease.
The battles are stunning! I've already saved a few...
Perhaps I'm not giving it a fair shake. You reply made me stop and think for a bit. I think I was expecting something exactly like Origins, which probably set myself up for disappointment since DA2 is so different. I'll give it another shot. I really want to like. Thanks for the reply!
For some one who has put in well over 265 hours into Dragon Age:Origins, I feel completely let down by Dragon Age II. As a PC gamer the original was perfect IMO. Not sure why they changed so much. The story feels very disjointed and the combat isn't fun at all on the PC. I imagine it's...
Greetings folks,
A few years back I built a Shuttle system for my fiance. It's been nothing but rock solid until yesterday. I happen to walk by here computer when a screensaver was up, which looked "stuck". The computer was un-responsive so I rebooted and everything seemed fine, until it...
So I just picked this title up a short while ago and am having a blast with it. For some reason though, it's running like a total slug now. I'm at a point in the game where there is a lot going on and my frame-rates have dropped exponentially.
I'm playing the game via Steam and am playing on...
Update:
Houston, we've got uniformity!
My second U2410 arrived today at my office. I speed home after work and hooked this bad boy up. It's absolutely perfect. No tinting issues at all, it looks fabulous.
Other than having the green/pink tint issue, I'm loving the monitor for gaming. So far I've played BC2, Fallout 3 and WoW, with great results. I didn't notice any ghosting and the colors seemed spot on.
My 2nd is arriving today, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything is good. I must...
Uniformity is all I'm asking for. I think it's completely reasonable to ask for a screen that displays accurate colors throughout. I'm going to try a few more.
And yes I'm new to the whole monitor enthusiast scene. In my previous posy you'll notice that I realized posting screens, rather...
Thanks for the reply. Those are screenshots and not photos. I didn't realize that screenshots don't help hehe, sorry.
I've been messing with the G setting and teh Hue and I can't seem to get rid of the greenish tint. I can't notice in game, but see it when viewing web-pages and photos. I...
The U2410 arrived this afternoon. I'm going to try my hand at this whole calibration thing once I get home, fingers crossed. Am I supposed to calibrate before setting the monitor to sRGB mode? Not sure I have a clue what this is, but everyone keeps mentioning this is the setting the monitor...
