Corsair has always been my memory goto company, all my rigs for the last 10yrs have only had it, and have never (from what I can remember) had problems and it's the only company I recommend for memory. It's time to expand that in my current rig with a nice SSD, I have none currently, and would...
Hmmm...I'm old enough to remember you could request to be "Unlisted" to save yourself from threats, harassment, etc.
As mentioned in a previous post, criminals don't need a provocation. A simple glance in their direction is enough.
The fact of the matter is criminals have a faulty set of...
I'm having a BIG issue with BFG, both their product and support(mainly support). I've heard how good BFG is with support and with my initial experience I felt the same way. BUT now with my current issue, I've been having a very dissatisfying experience. Short history... ;)...
[H] Just posted a review including the 3870 for a comparison with the 9600GT.

I'd say 9600GT if you need so save some cash, otherwise 8800GT.
So what you're saying VR-Zone is full of sh!#, and can't be trusted with any information? Well that can be said about anything that hasn't been physically introduced into the public, it's just rumor. And just because it says "noobie" next to a username, the person isn't necessarily a "noob"...
I just saw this card on Newegg:

I currently have the Gigabyte 8600GT. I could sell it and get the ECS (When it gets in stock) , and pretty much come out even. Is the quality and reputation of ECS worth it? Does anybody know of...

Just plug in what you have and then pick different video cards and see what it comes up with. You can always get a dual molex to pci-e power adapter if needed. Just make sure you give yourself at least an...
I'm a little perplexed.
You currently have an X2 3800, which is AMD and are thinking of of going with a C2D, which is intel. Am I missing something? I don't believe you can upgrade to a C2D from an X2 unless you're changing you underlying platform. You didn't mention a...
You said "around" 50 so this one is 59. And he won't have to worry about "shared" memory. As well as getting more bang for the buck.

I'm in the market for a new video card, given I only upgrade every 3yrs I'm looking into a Dx10 card. My max is $150. I would love an 8600GTS, but they are our of my range so I'm looking at the 8600GT's.
When ATI releases their mid-range cards, how much if any should I expect video card...

GeForce 8500GT will be clocked at 450MHz core and has 256MB DDR2 memory clocked at 400MHz (800MHz). It looks like its performance is slightly better than the current GeForce 7600 GS series. Its 3DMark06 scores...
The 8800 Ultra is supposedly due in May, the only ones due on 4-17 are the 8600GTS, 8600GT, and 8500GT. I think I heard the 8900GS may be in May also, (not sure) but it may depend on when ATI rolls out their cards. It'll definitely be a battle, and hopefully we'll end out on top with the price...
Exactly, you can find one of these for ~100 or less, with or without MIR. AND it will be better than your 6600GT. So save a few bucks and use it for your summer purchase.
Let me get this straight. Your going to spend ~150 on a 1950pro, and then upgrade in the summer, probably spending at least another ~150? Hmmm 150+150=300, which equals an 8800 320mb. Seems like money down the drain to me buying a card now just to hold you over. What do you have now?
I'm personally waiting for the 8600 due to a tight budget. The lowest price I've seen for an 8800 320mb is ~250 after MIR. The 8600GTS will be around ~180, and according to VR the 3DMark06 is ~7000. So yeah, depending on gaming and such, if you have the money, go for the 8800, but for ~70-80...
