Stupid ?- But how do the raid drivers get installed? From the MOBO disk when it see and calls for new hardware and its drivers and it will go find what it needs from the MOBO disk?

OK- stupid ? (and not for the P8P67, but in general) My other RAIDS were setup during the Win installation- How do I install the raid drivers at this point above? I thought that had to be done during the Windows installation when it calls for the disk? I've run the MOBO disk for the MSI board...

Well not to say I'm outta the woods (to not jinx it seeing the number of issues others across numerous forums are still having w/ their P8P67 boards), but I got the replacement MOBO and vid card and processor back in from NewEgg yesterday. And.......... everything went together easily...

P8P67 would not boot/post-- and got no video signal. RMA in progress now.

used the mem-ok button, and it went from continuous on to flashing and then rebooted and seemed to find the settings as this quit then....... again can't see any of it, so don't know exactly what it's doing.......

I did clear the cmos on the jumper while power cord out, but did not remove the battery. I tried 2 different sets of new DDR3 ram, but not one stick by itself.

looking through their manual on the website in the downloads section, it appears that MSI still only has a wake by keyboard from a sleep power mode, not boot up by hitting a key on the keyboard.... but I was hoping that someone that had a gd65 or gd53/g45 board could confirm it.....

I owned a P5B DLX (for a short time before it or my processor started failing to post/boot) and ran that memory with it. I was able to set the timings in the Asus P5B bios with no issue.... Did you also set the voltage up too? If there are RAM issues, I would talk to the guys at the Corsair...

The Abit IP35 Pro does not have a Com port, nor is there even a Com header for it on the board. I had to purchase an add on PCI card to continue to run an IrDa device that still uses serial! (getting rid of all the legacy stuff... :( ) I believe the Asus board has a header for it.

the regular A8N's had some issues with booting and experiencing BSOD's periodically-- from what I can recall.....

My MSI P6N 650i was not difficult to set up at all (where from what I've seen around here, the 680i's probably fall more into that category with their wealth of OC/bios settings.) My P6N / E6400 combination was very stable and easy to get a modest OC from a 2.1 to 3.0 Ghz.

My P6N Platinum has only yielded a modest overclock on a E6400 to 3.0ghz.
