The FW900 is a lightweight compared to my SONY XBR960 TV.
I unfortunately dropped the TV off its stand directly on to my foot two weeks ago.
300 lbs of OUCH. The TV survived just fine but I'm still limping about.
I have yet to see my FW900 as I live in socal and had a buddy in Austin...
From AnandTech
I'm curious if you are using the resolution at 2560x1440 for both displays?
Also did you try using a "Mini Displayport to Displayport Adapter Cable" instead of DVI?
The Mini-DP to DP Cable allows you to directly connect the U2711 via the DP and am curious if you...
I replaced my 2007WFP and a 20" Apple Cinema Display with the Dell 2209WA and I don't notice any degradation in quality or response.
The resolution is the same 1680 x 1050 and the 22" is only slightly larger than the 2007WFP.
In addition you can bump the refresh rate to 75Hz on the...
Had a friend in Austin buy this for me as I live in socal.
He is a movie producer and put it in his studio, hooked it up to his MacPro and reported
I told him to let it warm up for awhile to stabilize so...
And since he is a producer I now get this...
If I ever actually acquire...
It sounds to me as if the monitor has a zoom feature enabled.
Check the OSD for "Aspect Ratio" and make sure it isn't using "Fill" or "Zoom" but just "Standard". May be referenced as something other than "Aspect Ratio" but that is the feature you need to disable.
Just bought two of these 6ft VGA SVGA HD15 to 5BNC 5-BNC Video Cable RGB RGBHV for my GDM400PS 19" and FW900 24".
I'll report on how they work as soon as they arrive.
The Westinghouse LVM-37W3SE is a full 1080P Monitor that Newegg is selling for $525.00.
I have one and use it as my primary monitor as well as having it connected to DirecTV.
This is a monitor, not a TV, as it has no TV Tuner but it works great as a 1080P HDTV with DirecTV or another...
Let's hope they don't start another lottery with a panel switch like the 2007 WFP & FP.
You get bit by a snake, you're afraid of a worm!
I think they are the same code as previous e-mail.
Mine are the same just some correction notice from Dell but "Mystery Code" is the same.
You probably want to compare so there aren't two dupes in the wild.
I just received an e-mail from Dell with an individual coupon code that gives me 25% off Monitors until Wednesday April 29, 2009.
I don't have a link to a code site but I'm sure there are links to codes out in the wild.
2209WA totals $209.25 before Tax...
I'm sorely tempted to...
I just boxed up my Dell 2007 WFP and put it next to my boxed 20" Apple Cinema Display in storage.
Great Monitor that I just replaced with the new Dell 2209 WA.
My Dell 2209WA(Digital).icm profile, my Dell 2209WA(Digital).icc profile, Dell 2209WA OEM Monitor Manual (use index.htm to open in browser), and set-up .pdf can be downloaded here
Dell is having a sale at the moment, $206.10 with coupon 1Z829VM32T983V. I finally bit the bullet and bought one.

Thanks for the link. :)
Since the card is a PCI Express 2.0 it appears that this will allow PC owners to use the new Apple 24" LED Backlit Display as well.
The ATI Radeon HD 4870 video card comes with DisplayPort output support, but the Apple 24" LED Backlit Display requires the Apple Mini-Display Port outlet.
I doubt the Apple 24" LED Backlit Display will work with any Mac Pro other than the new one with Mini-Display Port outlet, but if you...
Dell announced new 22" and 24" "G" Series Monitors with LED Backlighting.
The price suggests they are TN panels.
"Availability of the G2210 and G2410 monitors through Dell.com is planned for late February, with prices starting at $279 and $359 respectively."...
These adapters appear to be no different from those offered by Apple except for the cost and availability:

You are correct about Apple.
When I replaced my Apple 20" Cinema Display with a Westinghouse 37" I wanted to give the ACD to my daughter.
Her 12" iBook only had VGA out and the ACD only had DVI in.
I ended up buying her a Dell 2007 WFP with both VGA and DVI, but lost on the lottery on...

I wasn't aware Apple ever made a 24" H-IPS display before the iMac and this 24" LED Backlit so I assumed the panel they are referencing is this one.
Did Apple in fact make a 24" H-IPS besides the iMac?
TFTCentral is referencing a 24" Alum H-IPS, what is this?
What does the backlight technology have to do with the panel being used?
On TFTCentral doing a panel search before the unboxing info previously posted:

I'll see what I can do but the IOGEAR switch is on a shelf under the desk so it is a bit hard to see.
I just reach under the desk to switch computers as the buttons are on the front and I don't need to look at the switch.
I'll break out my camera sometime next evening and see what I can post.
I just edited my previous post linking the Dual Link model.
I'm pretty sure it came with cables but I bought it two years ago so memory a bit hazy.
Found this link IOGEAR 2-PORT DUAL-LINK DVI KVM SWITCH
I'd contact them and see if the cables are included.
The IOGEAR site indicates...
I used the previous version Belkin DVI KVM switch and it didn't work with my 20" Apple Cinema Display and Belkin support was worthless.
I returned the Belkin KVM switch and purchased the

I have been using the switch daily for...

Comments about High-quality unboxing photos of Apple's LED Cinema Display
Apparently the new 24" LED Backlight Cinema Display is NOT using the same H-IPS panel as the 24" iMac.
We must still wait for confirmation as to the panel type being used since...
