So the european original 2490wuxi and original 2690 wuxi work with the US spectraview profiler software, but what about 2490wuxi2 and 2690wuxi2? I guess they 'fixed' that by now in the newer models?

I have an european 2690WUXI (version 1, and not SV). What software do I need to buy to calibrate the internal LUT tables? The american Nec profiler software, the european software, or doesnt it matter?

Maybe videocard drivers will fix this for us in the future.

There was a list with the top 10 best monitors written on this forum, with the Nec2490wuxi (1) on the first spot. I can't seem to find it anymore.. wonder what the 2nd and 3rd ranking monitors were.

I am looking for a sRGB monitor, not wide-gamut. I might look for a Eizo then, resorting to PVA though..

nec 2490 wuxi, nec 2490wuxi2 both 24 inchers. the HP 2475 is widegamut, not really handy. eizo might be a 2nd option after nec, if you choose one with an ips panel. look for the graphical pro monitors. (prad.de etc)

Hiya. Thanks for your reply. Brightness did the trick. Though white looks very bright too, probably giving me headaches in a while. Thats why they probably invented dark themes though, I guess. My brightness is at 33 out of 100, does that sound alot?

I read in the prad review that this monitor converts 24p to 60hz, causing 24p movies to have motion judder... anyone can second this? is there a solution to fix this?

How is video playback with an external player on this monitor? I read it supports 24p, so I assume movies play smoothly. And the image quality must be great too.
