I've learned a while ago to let go of my framerate anxiety. Now it is only used as a way for me to optimize things so that they look good, or bragging rights when I spend to much on PC hardware.
For me, I just ran into to many times where I had money issues and could not afford the latest and...
I still prefere the old sidewinder controller over all else, but since mine broke ages ago, I ended up buying a good ole Logitech Cordless Rumble Pad 2 and that and been nice. I actually liked it better than the Xbox controller, but I have not been able to compare it to the Xbox Elite controller.
Well, for one thing binge watching does not effect my boners, they come and go at will. As for binge watching vs sex, the perfect solution is to just find a partner who does not mind all of the work, or better yet alternate. When one is is watching a show the other does not care for for, then...
It was a clickbait article that the author wrote out of frustration at most. They did very little to investigate the issue or to even explain the issue. They just brought up three games (Batman Arkham, Batman Telltale, and No Man's Sky), took a couple quotes from one indie dev, did no...
In the quoted part of the post, they said that they will be keeping online and offline seperate. As long as I can have offline play and saves, I care not. What worries me is that they said large portions of the game are only available online, and that would bother me. I'm not concerned with MP...
I think this whole situation is ironic, and find it funny how many people either insult him or just plainly miss the whole point. From what I could tell, the sound track content ID was up, someone got tagged and DMCA stuff transpired. Said person who had DMCA against them for the sound track...
Their original plan of "We'll charge you full price for the full games, and then slowly release content because did not finish it yet, but it is not episodic" was completely retarded. The way that Squeenix handles it's non-FF/DQ franchises makes me worried about episodic content, and I will wait...
I remember a ton of reports over the last decade saying how firefox was gaining in browser share, and yet IE is still #1, especially when you take in all versions of IE. From the percentages in this article, I would say this is just standard market fluctuation and room for error.
I tend to pay attention to the substance of the reviews. I learned to do that when I was younger because of video game reviews being biased towards the reviewers taste. So I learned that I would look for specific things that would either entice me or repel me. For example in video games the...
My biggest problem with Fallout 4, and pretty much every hotly anticipated game, is that people like him come crawling out of the woodwork. All of his complaints are common issues with pretty much every version of Elder Scrolls, and every Bethesda version of Fallout. Everyone who has played...
I used the Xbox 360 version, not the Xbox One version, butI liked it as a way of controlling my console. Not so much as a way of playing my games. It was nice to just use voice control or motion to control Netflix or something else, like opening something, but I hated playing games with it.
I...
They also have Silent Hills on there which Konami has confirmed as being cancelled, along with Norman Reedus and del Toro saying it was right before Konami. Least they could do is keep up with video game news
Yeah, it is probably more about flat quarters, and bad timing between two things than anything conspiratorial such as the idea of reverse racism.Intel is to much about numbers to be that way. I did about 10 years of contracts at Intel, so I've witnessed the layoff process without being touched...
It depends on the channels. As it is my television bill is around $135 through comcast to get hte channels I want, and most of the channels I get for that plan I don't watch. If I can carve a little off of my bill, get the channels I want and remove the unwanted crap then I would do it. But the...
I don't necessarily think it is smart of them to get into the whole car aspect of the market, but I do think it is smart for them to R&D their own car. Then they can choose the most profitable path to take and market that. They have the money to do it, so they should, especially with cars...
From my personal experience of using 8.1, I have found that it feel incomplete. Like Vista 2.0. The mish-mash of the metro UI and the old interface only confused people and makes using the OS harder. Especially since even Windows 7 was incomplete, as you can tell from going to system properties...
One of the problems I see with that article is that it fails to differentiate the types of games into the appropriate demographics, instead assuming that all demographics apply to all games. But games like candy crush saga have a different demographic base when compared to games like Assassin's...
I just learned to be picky about what I buy. For example, I will preorder Witcher 3 because so far CD Projekt RED has done good by me. When they F'ed up they went through and fixed it without charging me extra or pushing a bunch of fluff like EA has done with SimCity. Where as on the EA/ Bioware...
The government cannot penalize you for publishing classified documents unless at any point you agree not to. I worked as a civilian for the Army Corps of Engineers, and there was a reason why I had to go through a so called "Briefing" and "De-briefing", which basically amounted to signing an NDA...
I would not trust the government with this. They already have enough problems budgetting, as is proven by our nation debt, and they have also proven time and time again that they are incapable of releasing appropriately complete information, even when they promise too (the current CIA Torture...
Personally, this Link makes me think we should be worried about those players who are only killing 100,000 people in games. Where are their moral grounds? Have they ever felt guilty? Does that guilt effect their social behavior in a positive way? I think we need some research on this. Give me a...
To me it seems as if there is less resistance, and just more options that cater to the gamer. Sure many of them really just mimic each other, but now gamers no longer feel locked into just one service.
Now if only they would find a way to stop using the Digital Distro as a form of DRM they...
The problem with using steam hardware surveys is that it is largely for gaming. So while the numbers may look good and fancy for comparing the gaming market, it is not properly representative of the market.
First off, Steam has only been selling games for the Mac for around the last four...
The things that he is not admitting is that Microsoft has little stake in PC gaming. Sure, the home user is valuable to Microsoft, but that is the home user not the home gamer.
The only ways that Microsoft actually pulled in money from gaming is if they use something of Microsoft's beyond...
From my experience, it only really pertains to information that was still there after the judge made the ruling. If you destroy evidence you can possibly be penalized for that, especially if they prove that it was knowingly done. Many companies and organizations have a limit on how long data can...
From my view steam machines are going to be like other prebuilt machines. People who enjoy getting into the guts of the machine are most likely going to just build their own, while those who don't want the hassle are going to go with the steam machine. I have to say that I personally take...
From what I remember consoles tend to fit into 2 different categories.
1: Easier to program for, and less powerful than PC's (DC, GC, Xbox, etc)
2: Powerful and hard to program for (Saturn, PS2)
Otherwise the only things that make console games look better is the tricks they use to do it...
I don't dig bashing ads either, but sometimes they are funny. This one was not. It was actually pretty boring and lame. That would have cause me to not release it in the first place, and if it somehow snuck out, I would have pulled it.
People want games as soon as possible after they get there new hardware. With game releases usually pretty slow to happen after a console is released, the pre-order can help a bit.
Personally though I would wait. I found that very few games these days warrant the pre-order and unless there is...
Titan's development, before being scrapped, took it through a time of evolution for both the MMO Market and Blizzard. Blizzard has learned a lot about MMO's, and so have other companies out there. F2P has become a major player, not just in various Asian markets, but also in the US and Europe...
Those are such bad ideas. Honestly, expansion limits would only piss people off. If I am a late comer, and I pay for an expansion pack, I want to be able to play that content when I get to it. I don't want to have to farm my way through every single tidbit of the old content. Honestly, I hate...
I would probably say it has to do with exposure to music. Usually I go because of a singular band, not because of all of them. As a result, I end up being exposed to an additional band or not. Or, I get reminding of a band or song that I did not have before and want it.
It will be nice to see this in games where they currently only mimic certain effects of water. It does feel a little off, but still better than what is there now.
