Get her an Acer Aspire V5 with super fast AMD A4 cpu! She will go mental and you will thank me later.
I was joking. Just saying stay away from the devices with that cpu.
Stupid me got a new notebook which has a cpu which should have been in a mobile phone! How the hell this cpu is expected to operate Windows 8?! It is absolutely crawling even surfing on the internet. Does anyone have the same crap here? Let's say i am watching a youtube video and open another...
Then i have to squeeze harder to get some extra juice out of it, it's gotta be the the memory settings holding me back. I'm gonna drop the memory speed all the way down and try it again. Maybe i get a 6 core cpu later if such thing exists.
Hey, anyone there? There is only a handful of topics here, has everyone switched to Intel processors or what? Whatever, i stick with good old green chips.
I was wondering if it would be feasable if i upgrade my Athlon II X4 620 to Phenom II X4 925. I think my cpu's oc abilities are very...
Ok, we all know about the basic memory timings (CL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS) and how to tweak them but there is very little info about the rest. We can adjust the following settings as well:
Row Cycle Time (tRC)
Command Rate (CR)
RAS To RAS Delay (tRRD)
Write Recovery Time (tWR)
Write To Read...
I also think the idea is good but i don't like the vcore fluctating every second. Whatever i'll try overclock to 3 ghz without touching the vcore than enable cnq and see what goes on.
Hey there, i just wondered shall i use cool & quite thing with my new Athlon II X4 620 cpu or not. I am not exactly sure if i could save a meaningful energy with that aside of the fact that the fluctating voltage may have a negative impact on the chip. What would you reckon?
I'm sorry if you...
Hey guys, i'm looking for a good utility to recover the lost partition on my 8gb flash drive. Would you please recommend me a good one?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,
I'm having a big trouble with my MSI K9A2-CF mainboard. It doesn't detect Realtek network driver when i restart the pc within windows. It's asking for the drivers but can't install anyway. If i switch off the pc completely and turn on everything's ok.
Has anyone come across to...
I'm building a budget configuration and have just ordered this monitor:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Displays/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=biz&cs=555&sku=320-5577&~lt=popup&~ck=TopSellers
because of it's decent price ($175 - I know it's not that much decent in U.S but...)...
I'm about to purchase a Crucial Ballistix memory kit. It's specs are as follows:
Part #: BL2KIT12864AA1065
DDR2 PC2-8500
5-5-5-15 Unbuffered NON-ECC
DDR2-1066 2.2V 128Meg x 64
These are single sided modules and i have heard that they don't have Micron D9 chips. Is that right?
I'm...
Well.. after seeing those prices i'm not sure i can feel good if i buy that lousy thing. Maybe one of you guys buy one of those babies for me and ship to me ;)
Thank you guys, those are big steals comparing to what i have available here. I live in Turkey, maybe i should wait for prices to come down because if you have such prices there... i don't understand, there's not much price difference on oem parts between here and there but on laptops the gap is...
I'm out for shopping a notebook pc and trying to find the best possible solution for my extremely limited budget. These are the two pc's i'm thinking about:
1. Acer Aspire 5220
AMD Sempron 3600+ 2.0 GHz 256KB L2 Cache
15.4" WXGA (220nits) CrystalBrite, 8ms 1280 x 800
NVIDIA GeForce 7000M...
Are we sure about that the 4650 will be 128-bit? It's been reported to be 256-bit on techpowerup:

I think it should have effects to a certain degree. I don't think you can lower the voltage for a given overclock if you cool the chip better. I mean there should not be any difference between a 50C and and 35C but if you're having excessive heat-up issue because of an improper contact or...
If you don't your memory speed will increase as well as your cpu clock. It's good if you would like to overclock your memory but we don't know if your memory modules may handle that. Anyway you can bump the memory voltage and give it a go.
So what's the fuss over the net about it? Is it some kind of dirty plan to kill AMD? I thought it was a major problem on all Phenom cpu's. Dammit!
From what i've understood there's a bug on Phenom cpu's and you would need a bios update to fix it. However it costs around %10 peformance drop. If this is the case and there's no other workaround this is a scandalous mistake by AMD and they should accept RMAing all the chips. I feel too bad...
You wouldn't need voltage bump below 2.7Ghz most probably. You should change the HTT Speed (FSB) to 266Mhz from the default 200Mhz. You should also lower your HTT multiplier to x4 (or 800mhz as in some bioses). Lastly drop your memory multiplier to 667Mhz.

I just found this site very easy to use and posted few oc results of mine but they don't seem to have too much results. Anyone knows a better source?
I'm running my Brisbane 3600+ @ 2850Mhz with 1.3v and using Thermaltake Blue Orb II to cool it. Thermal material is nothing special which came with the HSF. Idle CPU temperature is 30C and it jumps to 50C after 4-5 minutes of Orthos test. Even though i tried to reinstall the HSF several times...
Are you using same testing methods on both? Maybe you're using Small FFTs on Prime95 which tests only cpu stability and Blend or Large FFTs on Orthos which tests memory as well and if your memory is unstable you can't pass Orthos.
MSI always comes up with aggresive pricing and their products have always been the best buck for the price but this one sounded a bit cheaper than expected to me.
