Buying this just for the COD4 remaster, I can't wait for the multiplayer I'm so excited.
Black Ops 3 is such a piece of shit I could rant for hours why the multiplayer is terrible, can't wait to get rid of it.
I have a couple of the Corsair brackets on 290x's, I like them a lot. With the H75 my core stays around 50c and the VRM's I keep cool with the fan running between 40 to 45%, not noisy at all compared to what they used to be! Totally tolerable for me now.
Usually I do take that path when people try to stiff me, but I just wanted it to be over with. Now I just buy XFX and I haven't had any problems, my one time I had to RMA with them was very painless.
I'm never buying another Gigabyte product again, their RMA process has been horrible the last 2 times for me. Status said my card was repaired a month ago and they still hadn't sent it to me, contacted them to find out wtf is going on and they said 'sorry it's not really repaired, it's broken...
I got all the previous games for $5 each ages ago, this is hardly a big incentive to buy AK now. I'll probably buy it later when it's cheap after I've finished playing all the new games about to come out.
If you have a reference 290x card then i recommend the Corsair HG10 A1 bracket it is specifically made for the 290/290x, you can use it with any of the Corsair AIO units. I've used them for a while and had no issues.
The Arctic one posted above looks cool too but a bit costly. You can get the...
I'm trying out Monero (XMR) to see how that goes, I had a lot of fun with Nicehash but people are selling their hashrate for next to nothing now so it's no good for miners.
Right, and a lot of people forget the fact that scrypt coins like LTC have a difficulty change every 3 days (not about 2 weeks like BTC), so all of these uber powerful asics are driving the difficulty into oblivion in no time at all.
I'm still holding onto some GPU's for now as i'm confident...
I am quite confused at why people mine on the ltc network when the difficulty keeps going up and price keeps going down. Can make a little bit more by just mining scrypt shitcoins with asics.
You're not going to be pulling anything close to 466 watts mining with a 280x. And I hope for your sake you're mining lower power algorithms like x11, otherwise you're wasting profit and power mining Scrypt coins. I'm barely pulling 250 watts with a 290x at 5.5mh/s on x11.
Yeah, it's a bad idea to invest in any mining gear right now, too late. In the future there might be another huge bubble for a GPU mined coin (like what happened with LTC before the scrypt asics), that would be a good time to go raid the local electronics stores of all their GPU's to make a fast...
The only reason I kept interest in my PS4 is for The Last Of Us, after that it will probably collect dust again until Uncharted and some other exclusives hit the shelves.
With the latest x11 performance improvements, the power increase is up a fair bit for me with the AMD cards, had to get rid of some of them as the heat is too much right now.
He's obviously got the wrong thread lol.
At least LTC has been stable lately, kinda stale though. Reminds me of the dead times before the last bubbles. I'm still beating myself for not selling in the last bubble, but maybe this time it will be higher.
This ^^^^^
I have the 900D and a Caselabs STH10, don't get me wrong, the 900D is a good case, but the build quality and features of the Caselabs cases are far superior.
I don't know, i was in the next room when it happened, but the smell was horrible.
The RMA process for Lepa wasn't terrible though, took a few days for it to get set up, but they sent me a replacement quickly once they received the dead one.
I had a Lepa G1600 fail as well, it didn't kill any of the components though. I replaced it with an EVGA 1300 Supernova and haven't had any problems since.
You can get some good deals on 290x's these days, they are what I use myself. If the 780ti wasn't so expensive i'd probably use that instead as they don't run as hot and I prefer nvidia drivers. But if you're a BF4 player the 290x would give you better results.
But do the cards run in Xfire if you use the cards with that layout on those mobos? My Asus Maximus z77 will turn off the 3rd pci-e slot when the cards are inserted like that.
Gigabyte RMA has been good to me, I've only had to use it a couple times, but it was very painless. First time they took a week to send me a replacement card, 2nd time was more like 2 weeks, but that's nothing compared to the horror stories i've heard of other companies.
