to be perfectly honest, ive never actually cleaned compound off a cpu as i normally just buy oem cpu's with a big ass cooler that normally have a thermal pad installed...
I know how to apply compound...but dont really know how to remove thermal compound/pad.

Just wondering as im going to fit a new motherboard and i want to use the same processor and heat sink. Would i need to remove the thermal compound to do this? Or could i get away with leaving the thermal on the cpu and just putting the cooler straight back on?

I'm basically ordering a netgear desktop 8 port switch to connect 6 computers up to the net.
I need 4 10 metre cables to connect the computer to the switch and was wondering if this is the right cable.
I think it probably is the right cable but i'd like to be sure before i start...
Those Noctua's do look nice and seem pretty good. Im quite liking the SilentX Fans but after looking at many different opinions im not sure...

Well when i used the filters they were in diff cases and on different fans.
If u have a very high powerful fan the FiterRight one is better, but if you have the average fan the aluminium one will pull alot more air in and filter a lot more.

I'd say the alminium one is better for lettin in more air, but damn the FilterRight one looks good :cool:
You've done a very good job seen as that case doesnt look the easiest for cable management...
Try making the ide cable fold a little neater and tucking some of the cables under the motherboard.
Also, you might want to give it a bit of a clean.
Takes a while, i know :o ... but its worth it in...
