I haven't heard much about this game, so I just went out to the game website and looked at screenshots.
This game looks utterly terrifying...the Alien movie scenes where there are tight corridors and things like that creep me out bad, so I don't know if I could even play this :D
I absolutely hate these damn TVs. The prices on some of these make me want to puke when I think of the $2700 I paid for my Samsung 55 inch only 2 years ago.
It is a sad day when I cannot run WoW at anything higher than medium settings, so is there anything I can do on this current build to stretch it further, or is it time to upgrade?
Current bones:
Asus P7P55D mb
i5 760 Lynnfield Intel CPU
ATI Radeon 4850 GPU
2 x 4g Mushkin Enhanced...
I couldn't read it either:
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$2000 out the door
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible...
I was at Best Buy yesterday and they had these on sale for $119, so I bought a set.
It has been years since I have heard them, but yeah, they are 1000 times better than what I had.
Here is one too...close.

You'd be surprised around here where I live. There are a few Best Buy stores near me, and one in particular almost always has stuff like this rotting on the shelves. I will take a look around, and no big deal if I can't find one.
I have a co-worker bugging me for a build, so after a long while of putting it off, I decided to jump back in to this and started looking at Egg and TD, etc. I was looking at the AMD FX-6300 and was hoping for 8gig of RAM at basic.
I got very close to my target with a 650Ti, FX-6300 and some...
I usually see artifacting when I overclock off the bat, or as heat rises. If you see artifacting at stock speeds, and randomly, I back up the suggestion that you've got a faulty card. I've run dozens of cards over the years and I have never seen artifacting on a stock card.
I have this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Monster-127856-00-HDMI-Cable-Adapter/dp/B000WX5EWE
It is bulky, so I put a screw in one of the holes for the wall mount and used cable ties in a loop to support the connector, as gravity wants to stress it and I was a little worried.
I used DVI>HDMI, but I didn't have a choice as my video card only outputs DVI.
I will be home in an hour or so, and I will tell you how that text looks.
These are the settings I followed. Make sure that you go into inputs and change the HDMI label (with the blue rectangle button on the remote) to a blank label (not PC...etc).
These adjustments made my TV perfect for a monitor...it is crisp and clear, and destroys my 24" Gateway.
I can't hold the camera straight, nor do I know how to take pics of the screen settings wise,
but this monitor has me blown away. You can't see it well in pics, but it is crisp, clear and fast...zero motion blur or bleed.
