The system is now up and running. It is louder than I would like. I think most of the noise is coming from the CPU cooler fan that came with the Silverstone NT06-Pro. Any suggestions for a quieter fan to replace the Silverstone fan?
I can confirm that the MSI 760 with the twin frozr will fit in the SG05 without any modding. I would say that the 260mm measurement is accurate. It is a tight fit, but it fits. There is no more than 2mm to spare.
I am running Paranoid Android, and I am very happy with it. Currently on 4.2.2 until they get the kinks worked out of the 4.3 version. The 3G/LTE switch bug is the only thing holding me back for now.
Student discount. I was actually able to get a free copy through the DreamSpark program, so that saved me $70 on this build. There are some perks to going back to school.
Does anyone know if the Silverstone NT-06 will work with any of the new Haswell ITX Motherboards in the SG05? If so, which ones? I am putting a build together, and this seems to be the best cooler to use with the SG05.
Here is my latest version of the build via PCPartsPicker. I have ordered the Case, PSU, RAM, and GPU. I changed the motherboard to the MSI. I like this board, but it is not available at Microcenter at this time. I will go to Microcenter in two weeks. I will see what is available at that...
I am aware that 16GB is overkill for steam games. Most pay just fine on the system in my sig. The most graphic intensive game I will be playing in the near future will likely be Battlefield 4. I should mention that I do some ram intensive processing for my work with heavy water modeling and...
I don't NEED to overclock, it is just nice to know I can squeeze a little more performance out of it. Is there a MB that you would recommend? I guess I would be looking at the Asus MB-Z87IDEX or the ASRock Z87E-ITX. I would be willing to forgo the overclocking to keep the system more silent...
It is about time I build myself a new PC, and I have decided to try my hand at a SFF build since I would like to use it with my TV as a Steam Box.
1. What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming, Photoshop (or other intensive programs), Web browsing, strictly HTPC/Playback, etc. (If you have...
I'm in. Even if they don't get any good games, it will be a good TV box and a fun toy. That alone is worth the $99. It will be great if they get good indie games like Fez, Journey, Braid, Sword and Sworcery, Bastion, Spelunky, and Super Meat Boy.

This is a build for a friend. Main purpose is water supply system simulation calcs. It may also be used for video editing
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Around $1000 with tax and...
That is amazing. Very nice work.
I do have two original Nintendos lying around. I couldn't bring myself to do it to my only Nintendo, but the spare, hmmm...
I never did check my fps before the upgrade. I can tell you that the e6750 was pegged at all times while playing, but the q9550 never goes above 60%, and that is with graphics changed from low to medium. I did run it for a while with just the 5770 upgrade, and the processor upgrade did improve...
