I got my eyefinity setup working today and it looks like there may be compatiblity issues with certain games. It works fine in Flight Simulator X, but in Planetside, all three monitors seem to be cloned and it displays the same graphics on each monitor individually.
Also, I'm using the...
Well, I just finished my new build and it seems the only issue I have now is that my mouse pointer will freeze intermittently. I cannot go more than 30 seconds without my mouse pointer stopping dead in its tracks for between 3-10 seconds at a time. During this time, my keyboard still functions...
I just dropped $93 on the dell adapter w/ my ghetto employee discount. The dell adapter is made by Bizlink and is the same unit used by ATI to demo their eyefinity setups as pictured above.
Intel announced that Gulftown will be compatible with current 1366 motherboards.

Not pervasive at all compared to all PC gamers...then again, not everyone is looking to run games at [H] settings, so they will never be looking for an x2 in the first place. It's a great option to have, and there is obviously a viable market for dual-gpu solutions as forthcoming hardware leads...
I ordered around 1:15 PST from NCIXUS and now says my order was shipped via fedex at 4:45p on 9/23. Here's to hoping fedex doesn't trash it like they trashed my TJ07!
What time did you order? I think the cutoff to ship today on current stock was around 10 or 11 this morning....according to the NCIX people who posted on their forum.
I ordered at 1pm PST and got a message saying my powercolor will be shipped tomorrow.
I've seen the page inventory change throughout the day on NCIXUS...I don't think that "20 in the warehouse" stock is accurate though.
Either way, price just dropped to $387 + 10 shipping...I pulled the trigger!
What's the deal with Eyefinity...apparently not all 5870's will be capable of it? You have to buy an "Eyefinity" edition 5870 that will likely cost more?
I'd say go for it. I snagged a $200 microcenter special for my build that I'll be starting this week.....Gulftown will work on current X58 setups so you really don't have anything to lose if you can get it cheap.
First, your single large display offers nowhere near the field of view, or associated immersion characteristics of six 30" displays orriented in any fashion. I'd bet that a majority of posters in this thread would tend to agree.
Next, a gimmick to you......is simply stated, a better/more...
Looks like I can finally ditch my Matrox TH2go! Hopefully, for a lot of us in the flightsim community, we'll be able to keep monitors independent of the main view on the same GPU as well.
So much for waiting on Gulftown!
The only game I play is FSX and it's at 3840x1024 as well. I just moved to Vista 64 last night so I'll post my impressions after I finish tweaking the in-game graphics sliders. A buffed video card on a bottlenecked CPU isn't going to do much for your friend. FSX brings my machine to failure when...
Stay away from the EVGA board like people said....the only thing guaranteed with it is a BRICK WALL! Otherwise just pop for a quality cooler and 3k shouldn't be an issue.
Was using Fluid XP Xtreme for 7 months no problem, PSU blew up and decided to clean looop while I had rig apart. Bottle of Fluid XP Ultra arrives today....I don't really buy in to the self proclaimed performance hype of the product, but I have spilled this shit all over my 8800 and mobo and...
I had this same issue and same discoloration after about 7 months of using FluidXP in my system. I believe it is caused by the make-up of the inside of the radiator. I pulled the tubing and dipped in simple green for 2 hours and it came out looking brand new. Reinstalling everything friday when...
Hi Everyone,
Saturday I left my computer to go make a sandwich, came back and the thing had shut off completely. The light on the button of the PSU was on and still turns on, but the 2 leds on my mobo that would always be on if the psu was connected and on, do not even light up anymore no...
I am watercooled so I can't really compare temps, but I am having all kinds of problems getting past 350-375 (1400-1500qdr) On my e6600/evga 680i. I have tried everything to get my machine to post on anything past 1500qdr. If I put even 1510 with voltage really jacked up 1.55-1.65 it will not...
That 9X stuff is interesting, never seen anything offered as a complete package before.
And I use the top display to show the overhead panel (in that pic it's of the 767 simulation)

Sure thing, I'm just about to close the (case) door on my new build and then it will be time to get zip tie happy with the cables....I'll snap some pics along the way when everything is tidy. I appreciate the feedback and comments, makes all this effort to get everything together even more worth...
Thanks! I agree on the DVI and more supported resolutions for the Matrox Unit....it would make it that much more appealing. The stand is an Ergotron 3 Monitor stand, and then I purchased the 24" Pole and a Pole mount from them that allows me to tilt the top monitor down to a perfect angle while...
Watching this thread very closely as I tried to bump my 8500c5d's up form the 800 mhz recognized by the board to the 1066 advertised speed.
Got a nv4_disp bsod trying to run 3dmark06 and a lock up in windows after that and returned speeds to 800mhz.
Question: Is there a suggestion on what...
