I just dropped $93 on the dell adapter w/ my ghetto employee discount. The dell adapter is made by Bizlink and is the same unit used by ATI to demo their eyefinity setups as pictured above.

Not pervasive at all compared to all PC gamers...then again, not everyone is looking to run games at [H] settings, so they will never be looking for an x2 in the first place. It's a great option to have, and there is obviously a viable market for dual-gpu solutions as forthcoming hardware leads...

What time did you order? I think the cutoff to ship today on current stock was around 10 or 11 this morning....according to the NCIX people who posted on their forum. I ordered at 1pm PST and got a message saying my powercolor will be shipped tomorrow.

I've seen the page inventory change throughout the day on NCIXUS...I don't think that "20 in the warehouse" stock is accurate though. Either way, price just dropped to $387 + 10 shipping...I pulled the trigger!

NCIXUS still shows the powercolor 5870 in stock...$411 + was about $14 fedex shipping for me.

What's the deal with Eyefinity...apparently not all 5870's will be capable of it? You have to buy an "Eyefinity" edition 5870 that will likely cost more?

MicroCenter usually lets stuff go the day before release a la i5's and associated mobos...in my experience anyway.

I'd say go for it. I snagged a $200 microcenter special for my build that I'll be starting this week.....Gulftown will work on current X58 setups so you really don't have anything to lose if you can get it cheap.

Looks like I can finally ditch my Matrox TH2go! Hopefully,for a lot of us in the flightsim community, we'll be able to keep monitors independent of the main view on the same GPU as well. So much for waiting on Gulftown!
