Ive had mine for almost a year now (v3) still looks amazing. I use it only for 360 and PS3...it was my computer monitor but I was sitting like 2 feet from the thing and it started to really bother me. (neck issues)
Plus my puter cannot handle the latest games at 1920x1080 (source games were...
Well I believe it has to do with changing the resolution. My ps3 is fine when first turning it on....and when playing a BR movie (i posted a day ago that it was blinking all the time but it seems to have worked it out somehow) It only blinks when I load up a 720p game...then it will blink when...
Updated the ps3 to the latest firmware 1.6 and the blinking issue is way worse..!!!
It never would blink going from a Blu-Ray movie to the XMB. Now it does...! When switching between different resolutions (1080p to 720p) was the only time it would blink. Now it does it when entering and...

It really doesnt look that bad......when sitting far from the tv
My Westy died!!.....well sort of.....When powering it on....no matter what source, hdmi, dvi1, dvi2,.....the screen flashes white! Sometimes it will stay white for 2-3 seconds....If i disconnect everything from the monitor then power it up...it displays no signal but still flashes white on and...
This was posted on the PSU forums:
"Just got off the phone with Westinghouse customer service. They are reporting that Sony will be fixing the HDMI-sync issue that cuases blinking on some TVs in the next Firmware upgrade to be release within a month.
They said that the PS3 was asking for the...
i use a x1950pro and play cs:s at 1920x1080 2xaa 4xaf.....on full servers (24 people) in heavy fire fights, it has never gone below 35fps...cpu is an x2 4400
Yeah, I use mine with my pc as well....sitting roughly 3' from it. I watched some SD tv yesterday (24) sitting around 7-8' away. Looked pretty good to me.....
My firmware version is 1.8.
I have a stuck pixel as well..damnit. Its off to the side so I cant see it unless I go looking for it.....I think I can live with it.
My pc is hooked up thru DVI1 and the PS3 thru HDMI. The thing the really bothers me is the handshake issue with the ps3. Everytime I switch the ps3 on and play a game at 720p or try to watch a dvd at 480p, the screen blinks until a. you turn the monitor off then back on, or b. unplug the hdmi...

Okay, so the wife calls and tells me my new "toy" has arrived....Im at work until 5pm so I think I can feel an upset stomach coming on....
The delivery guys (best buy) removed it from the box and were told where to put it....on my desk. The guys like, "umm, you sure you want it on the desk"...
720p is 1280x720 correct? So if this monitor supports 720p over dvi, should it not simply display at 720p (1280x720) when fed 720p (ps3 for example)? And display 1080p when fed 1080p? I thought it works like that. No?
I understand with computer games you would need to set the reso in game so...
In those ps3 shots of resistance, the image looks to be strectched to the edges...resistance is 720p...so instead of black bars on top and side it stretched to the edges? I thought this monitor supports 1:1 pixel mapping?
My main reason is space, second is cost..... I like the idea of the ps3 next to my computer and switch between the 2....
Still looking for a decent monitor though. Narrowed it down to the Gateway 2275 or the LG226wt...2275 has 1:1 pixel mapping...226wt has a higher contrast ratio and prolly...
Was considering this monitor mainly for ps3 use...good idea? I read 720p games are stretched on this monitor so....not good!
Looking for a decent monitor for ps3 use....any thoughts?
