Well, the PCB is more gray than black atm and compressed air couldn't handle it.

I don't think you can replace the SSD harddrive on the EEE 701 4G. IIRC I've read somewhere that the SSD drive will outlive regular harddrives, just remember to disable things like system restore and the indexing service in XP. Btw; there's a forum dedicated to the EEE:s on eeeuser.com.

What's the best way to get rid of all the aluminum dust that ends up inside the case when cutting the top hole? I've vacuumed the entire case a couple of times and wiped it down with isopropyl alcohol a few times aswell but there's still some residue on the paper every time I do it.

I think the OC Guru sensor reads the temp around the cpu, while coretemp reads the cores. I would trust CoreTemp.

I got this result: That's with the latest AHCI drivers on a P5B Deluxe and NCQ enabled. Don't know if it makes any difference. Atleast I didn't notice any when I ran my drives in IDE mode.
