Kronvict, mind if i ask if you could possibly post up a shot showing the space between your gpu's please. Im waiting on a maximus VI formula coming in the mail. Ill be running gigabyte wf gtx 670's in sli so id appreciate seeing what the boards spacing is like. Ill also be using an aftermarket...

Looking at theese two boards for a haswell i7 based setup. My main concern is the spacing of the primary pcie slots for sli. Im running non reference gigabyte wf gtx 670's in sli. With theese cards, good primary spacing is a must have. Anyone using either of theese with sli/xfired gpu's. My...
The front led fans were replaced with black 1400 rpm yate loons. Thats just a few loose cables in the bottom of the bay. My hdd's are now reverse mounted, makes it a bit easier to hide the cables, but the drive bay locking mechanism wont shut when this is done. Still very secure though.
A few...
Thought id stick up a few pics of my LL A70F.
Not the tidiest at the minute, but ill sort that out once i get the interior powdercoated, (light blue with black mobo tray), braided cables etc. Full spec below.

Recently upgraded from sli 275's, (similair to a 295), to a 470 gtx, higher minimum fps at stock, lower max, though once you clock the 470 the performance is better, ive since added another 470, both clocked at 751/1502/1700. Had them at 800/1600/1700 for benchmarks.
Yep, if you use driver ver 265.90 with a modified .inf sli runs properly, post here from another forum im a member of.

Yep, i was running a similair fix, resulted in a lot of flickering, but the combined score was still low, my first run on 3dm 11, (cards at 750/1502/1674) scored only 5090, only one card was being used. Think ill wait for an official fix.
My topmost gtx 470 was running 10c higher than the lower card, (40 and 30c), board is an asus p6t deluxe v2, pretty good card spacing.
Sorted this out by suspending a 120mm fan behind the cards.
Not pretty ill admit, but both cards, (clocked at 751/1502/1694) now idle at 31-30, load temps...
Anyone using the above cooler and motherboard, (p6t dlx v2), im wondering if the megahelims, when used with a 25mm fan will it cover any ram slots on the board. My ram is ocz reaper tri channel. Thanks in advance.:)
Currently testing my i7 overclock with the latest version of intel burn test, (ver 2.4), is it still neccesary to select 16 threads or 8 threads, owing to the presence of the 8 thread bug in the earlier version 2.3, i tried earlier with 8 treads on 2.4 and it failed after the second test...
I had the same with the rev c bracket on my p6t dlx v2, felt loose on initial installation of the bracket assembly, however once i mounted the cooler with the spring loaded screws it all tightened up very nicely, a vast improvement over the previous x clamp style bracket.
Id suggest a thermalright ultra extreme 120, wont block any ram slots with standard 25mm fans fitted on it, i use one with 2 x sharkoon silent eagle 400-1200 rpm pwm fans.
Temps at 4ghz
Unfortunately not mate, as i live in northern ireland the lifetime warranty doesnt apply in my case, 2 years is the maximum that xfx warrant cards for in europe, bfg and evga offer 10 year guarantees in europe but no vendor i know off offers a lifetime guarantee.:(
Thanks for replying Decibel, the strange thing now is that this evening ive been gaming fine without many issues. The only changes ive made to my system was to uninstall gainward expertool, i had been using this for a while to monitor temps, and for overclocking the card, it would seem that it...
I was playing a bit of grid yesterday, after a few minutes the screen started to artifact (coloured dots followed by jagged lines), the card is an xfx gtx 280 xt 640mhz core clocked version, the strange thing is the artifacting only hapens in grid, i played multiple rounds of cod mw2, a bit of...
This is the cable that i use here.

Used this on my previous p5q deluxe, now on my p6t deluxe v2, the fans i use are sharkoon silent eagle se's, i have 3 of them running via this cable, fan speeds ramp...
If youur going to use pwm fans, akasa make a pwm adapter that allows upto 3 pwm fans to be ran from the cpu header, this adapter also has a molex power connector, in this way no power is drawn from the board, merely the pwm function to control the speed of the fans. This is how my push/pull...
I have no issues on my p6t dlx v2 with a TRUE black and ocz reaper ram.
As you can see in this photo, when i first assembled the rig outside the case i put the ram in the wrong slots, at least i know that if i upgrade to 12gb of reaper it will fit no probs, though ill always be limited to...
I can agree with this, i lapped both the cpu ihs and the base of my TRUE, both totally flat to 2000 grit, you cant get more uniform than when the two surfaces are flat.
I sold a lapped q6600 a while back on another forum, in the description, i very clearly stated that it had been lapped, the chip was also a pretty good overclocker, (3.8ghz on air) managed to sell it inside 5 mins of putting it up for sale. Regarding temp drops, combined with a lapped TRUE i...
Ahh sorry mate, i screwed it down until the springs were fairly well compressed, the screws will only go into the bracket so far, as the bottom of the screw hole is capped to prevent it from going through and hitting any capacitors, its a hard one to explain but once you start tightening the...
Not all the way, i simply screwed them down till i couldnt get the screws to turn anymore, you dont want to over do it, its one of those things that youll get a feel for when doing it yourself mate, as long as you have good equal pressure on both screws and the bracket is hard to move you should...
The spring loaded screws shouldnt go through the holes on the bracket as theyre capped to prevent this, just screw them down one side at a time till you have a good secure and even pressure on each side. I was worried about this as well on my p6t dlx but my concerns were unfounded.
Id highly reccomend the TRUE, have one on a p6t dlx v2 and it fits fine.
As you can see in my pic my ocz reaper fits great (had it in first slot by mistake lol) but at least i know that 12gb will be fine. Chip clocked at 3.8ghz, load temps at 70-65-67-64.
Are you using auto vcore voltage? At 3.6ghz i was running 1.18 vcore set in bios manually with qpi at 1.2125, ive now upped my bclk to 183x21 (turbo enabled) vcore at 1.2750, qpi at 1.300, memory voltage at 1.64. Id suggest using manual voltages particularly for qpi and vcore, this way you can...
Those temps seem pretty high for that clockspeed, at 3.8ghz at load im hitting 66-61-64-61, turbo on and ht enabled, cooling is a TRUE black with 2x 400-1200 rpm pwm fans. Id suggest trying to drop the voltage (if you have it on auto) mine ran 3.6ghz undervolted on 1.18 once i moved to manual...
As a starting point i dropped the voltages to the following.
CPU Voltage, 1.18
CPU PLL Voltage, 1.8
QPI/DRAM, (AKA VTT) 1.21
dram voltage, 1.64
I then started raising the bclk 10mhz at a time, 133-143mhz and so on, currently sitting at 21x173 stable after 10 passes of IBT. LLC is loadline...
